this menu looks SO delicious! i got a good laugh at the wildfire under your canteen cup with those 3 fuel tabs 🤣i will hopefully be trying my first foreign ration soon so i've been watching your videos in preparation lol
Cool to see this. Good vid Jerms! I have been out of the circle for a bit, is 3 drinks the usual on these new version IMP? Where's the coffee crisp, Mars, or KitKat? Thats disappointing.
The way we cook the main meals is in a pressure cooker (with just a bit of water) on a Coleman stove. These meals are made to be cooked in the bag (sealed) and eaten out of the bag. That's why the spork is so long. We also use flameless ration heaters (a a bag with chemical pad that reacts to water).
Some of them are good, some are not so good. The foreign ones have been very good! They have gotten expensive and in a short amount of time too. Not a cheap hobby that's for sure. Thank you for watching!
That looked fantastic in my eyes as a menu. Now I’m going to be on the hunt. Canadian espresso coffee is my favorite to date. Great review my friend , cheers.
Ah nice, a little bonus bevy drink! Mistakes happen, and rather extras than omissions for sure. Awesome video, buddy! Going to be sad about the coffee though. Such a rare item nowadays.
Howdy Amigo. Cool meal. Some day, we may have crispy potatoes, I hope at least, LOL. 3 drinks, not 2? Wow. Your assessment of texture, of potatoes, correct. Maybe your stove helped some. Fuel tabs stink. Wife almost divorced me once, for using inside, LOL. I am still living that one down, LOL. Sides and main look good friend. PB&J, can't screw up, regardless of how you use or mix. IMP'S are cool, and admitted, beat our MRE'S. Glad you had A good meal, and some fun. Peace from Ky. John. Need me, just yell. P.S., lol, 2 cherries in fruit cocktail? Play the lottery this week, you are lucky. John.
Interesting. On one hand I feel it'd be better to include them. Then again, I wonder how many would get wasted if you didn't have time to heat up the meal? Would make sense to issue separate in that regard. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah, a little bit burnt is the understatement of your entire channel! You should have mixed it while it cooked! It wasn't the canteen cup that was the problem. If you mixed it while it cooked, it probably would have come out great! The Russian MRE mains burn too if you don't mix them in their tins while cooking with the fuel tablets. And I think you realized that you should have used only 1 or 2 fuel tablets, not all 3. The fuel tablets are very strong, even the smaller round ones. You could have heated the main and made hot water for the oatmeal and mocha drink with all 3 of those fuel tablets. They don't burn for too long but they burn HOT! Still, I loved that you used an "esbit" stove (funny how all "disposable emergency stoves" are called "esbit stoves" from the brand name) and I am surprised how these Canadian IMPs don't come with any heating elements whatsoever. I suppose you would have to make a fire with the matches it comes with in the field.
I'm a really good cook, I swear 🤣 Just not with an esbit stove 🤣 Yes, 3 tablets was overkill for sure!! Way too hot! But hey, live and learn. The Hashbrowns were still really good. I don't understand why the IMP's don't come with FRH's. Thanks as always for watching!! Appreciate it!
I agree that was totally ruined after u burnt it like that. Should have stirred it a bit could have evaporated most that liquid easily. But still a good video no hate brother.
@jermsMRE have u ever tried the beans and weiners one. They used to have that one in the menus when I was younger that one was my favorite. I hear they have a poutine one now as well. No it was a great video I hope u didn't take offense to my comment it sounded mean when I read it after lol. I also subbed ya as I love outdoor survival stuff and military anything for that matter.
@@jeremychippett905 Oh no worries man! Not offended at all! The cup barely fit on that stove so mostly I was trying to keep it from falling off while also trying not to burn my house down 🤣
I like how you speed up the video and THROW EVERYTHING on the tray😅😅😅😅😅😅 Glad CANADA 🇨🇦 kept this menu...US 🇺🇸 replaced this menu....liked how you used the esbit stove
@jcsopinion3899 Hi brother, I hope you are doing well. That's the way I've always made my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My kids do it like that also.
