Nascar needs to immediately double the points and winner's prize for the crown jewels so crew chiefs are put on notice that these are the most important races and that points racing is not acceptable and that you definitely don't have your driver give up the lead with two laps to go for any reason. It would raise the stakes creating must watch races very good for increased ratings and ad revenue
Byron cut a tire, Bowman got loose in the final restart while he was about 6th and lost a bunch of spots with no time to make it up, and Johnson failed inspection. I mean really just unfortunate circumstances.
I think staying out would have been the better choice, but he was in a bad position regardless. Shame the 48 couldn't get the win though, would be nice to see him have some success this season.
worst race ive watched in a very very long time. Nascar completely missed this package. 1 line the whole time and nobody could pass. 2019 all star race was absolutely perfect and for some reason they went away from it.
Reddick is a huge pick up I’m just saying he will make that team way better the Dillion boy needed all the help he could get n who thinks matt kenseth makes the playoffs I know he had a bad race but I think there is a good chance he makes the playoffs
I always find it a bit of a joke how many commercials are in American TV, but NASCAR is just ridiculous: even when you're not watching the actual commercials, you're watching commercials. The name of the cup is sponsored, the clock is sponsored, the network promotes its logo in the corner of the screen, the walls of the track are lined with commercials, and even every single car and driver is covered head to toe in commercials. It's like, wherever your eye is looking, 75% of the screen is covered in commercials.
@Tydus Jefferson Sponsorship and commercials are the same thing: it's all just different ways of advertisers paying to put their logo in front of your eyeballs.
The only reason drivers can race is BECAUSE of sponsorship. That’s part of sports branding nowadays and it’s always been a thing. Yet for some reason people don’t think the same for other sports?
@@JackLikesTrackhouse Oh I assure you, it annoys me too for other sports - like how in football they have even started spraypainting adverts onto the grass now - but at least with team sports the need for recognizable uniforms means a certain percentage of each player isn't covered in commercials. If it were NASCAR they would be head to toe.
Want to talk about snatching DEFEAT from the jaws of VICTORY!!!!! I guarantee that someone got a serious counseling session after the race for that move! Simply the worst call I've seen in over 25 years. Watching Chase pit gave me one of the biggest WTH moments I can remember.
Overall, this race is pretty good, except for the ending with Jimmie Johnson getting disqualified. I hope one of the Chevrolet Camaros (including Hendrick Motorsports) can win some more races this season. It's nice however to see Brad Keselowski winning in his Miller Lite patriotic paint scheme! :P
Chase should have stayed out I think at worst he would have finished where he did with the pit stop but he had this race without that caution and it was team mate that caused it
I like crew chiefs, but I'm blaming each & every one of em for not keeping things on those cars that want to fall off & get thru tech inspection pre, & post race. & another thing, Chase Elliott shoulda stayed out to win this race. 🏁
