Note: Boat says "Cayo" because the company was originally under that brand but split shortly after this boat was delivered. Both companies still exist, but the partners split ... with Costa being the new and current name. Same boat either way.

I bet it rides great too. I have a worldcat 230 but if I had the budget this would be my boat. Such a well thought out boat and beautiful.

Beautiful boat! Look like some thought was put into the trailer too on how it should fit the boat. Thanks for sharing. Maybe in about ten years I can afford to buy one used lol.

When the winds die down, I'll get the drone out and make some more in action movies to post.

I’m curious about this boat. I’ve heard nothing, but good things about them. That being said, is there anything you wish was different about the boat or the sales process now that you’ve had some time to run it?

So far, so good. The newest models do have an improved console with an integrated "flat" wrap-around window which I like, however the Boca-tech button placement on my model is superior (above the head, easy to see, keeps dry). The boat is a joy to drive and handles a wide variety of conditions (far more than my previous Yellowfin Bay 24 -- though it was a great boat too). The team at Costa is really good and has taken great care of me. I have had a few minor issues which again are solved in newer builds, but Costa came to my boat and fixed them within days.

Great and very capable boat been following Cayo since making paddle boards. How watertight are the hatches? As in when you are washing the boat will water get in. I did not see much in the way of gaskets or double gaskets. How’s the finish under the gunnes and inside/under the hatches?
@floridawoodworker
@floridawoodworker 2 года назад
So far, I have not noticed an issue with the hatches. There is no gasket in the traditional sense, but the underside of each hatch lid is marine foam (like seadeck) which is compressed when closed. All of the gunnels and hatches are fully finished and beautiful. I'll get some video of that next time I'm on the boat.

Once you start fishing off the back of the boat where do you put those backrests or do you leave them where they are?
@floridawoodworker
@floridawoodworker 2 года назад
For me, I usually leave them in but when I did want those rod holders I've just left them at home.

Awesome boat! I’m curious since you had a YF 24 did you consider the YF 26 hybrid before pulling the trigger on this? I’m about to put a deposit on the 26 hybrid but this 264 seems like it’s in a class of its own.

Absolutely, a Yellowfin 26 was considered -- as was the Barker 26 and Andros 32. Ultimately, I choose the Costa 264 because of the extra width (two feet wider), my family preferred the lounger-style seat in the front, and the tower was a better design (sunroof, more shade coverage, better console layout). The YF26 was going to be about $15k cheaper, though not all elements were comparable. The YF26 is a bit cramped, and for me if going that route I actually would have leaned more towards the Barker 26 for fit and finish. The Andros 32 is incredible, but would have gone past my boat lift weight limit causing more hassle and expense.

@@floridawoodworker Appreciate the input! I'm definitely going to talk with the guys over at Costa to see if I can get a closer look.

I am sorry but there is not 400k worth of boat in this video Highly over priced 400k is a lot of money and can buy a lot of toys
@floridawoodworker
@floridawoodworker 5 месяцев назад
There is never "that much worth" in most fairly expensive items, I've found. Goes back to personal choices, your individual wallet, and what you really want. For a billionaire this is nothing more than a weekday dividend; where for a burger flipper perhaps more than a lifetime of savings. When I bought my first boat and it was $25k I thought people buying $75k boats were out of their mind. With time, and life changes, my perception changed (though I do agree, not that much "worth" ... afterall, still just a boat)

@@floridawoodworker can't agree 400k you could buy a nice home or air B and B this thing lost value as soon as you touched the water iat the end of the day its a small boat with two motors there are LOTS of those there are not a lot of folks with 400k sorry its waste

@@zackriden79 You sure can, but you can't ride a nice home or rental around the Gulf, go deep sea fishing, or pull up to the sandbar when the day is done!

What do they currently list for? I was trying to get an idea of pricing for a 264hc cant find one online.
@csrboltfan2643
@csrboltfan2643 2 года назад
Base model starts around $189K. If that wasn't ridiculous enough, the company says (NOT verbatim) you can make any additions and pay OVER $300K.
@floridawoodworker
@floridawoodworker 2 года назад
Costa will send you a price sheet if requested. Starts at $180 (base) but most are $275-375k depending on options, power, trailer, lift bunk, etc.
