His name is Lucas, he is a Brazilian youtuber, comedian and, as you can see, also an excellente musician. He started his music videos doing metal versions of brazilian Funk, took it into the stages presenting all over the country just befor Covid fuck it all.

guys, react to “2019 EM UMA MÚSICA” as well ❤️ little background about him if you’re interested: his name is lucas and he’s actually a brazilian comedian/youtuber. he has a few other musical projects, like “MINHA PLAYLIST DE FUNK”, a series of videos where he plays popular brazilian funk songs in heavy metal. and that instrument you asked about is called "berimbau" he is part of african-brazilian culture and is used in a figh style called "capoeira".

Lucas is brazilian and this is the 3rd "musical year retrospective" he's made, he always sings international and national hits in the videos, so he sings in english aswell as in portuguese. And he doesn't work as a musician, he's just a youtuber and makes music for passion whenever he feels like it, lol

The berimbau (Brazilian Portuguese) or hungo (Angolan Portuguese), also known as the chest berimbau in Portugal and hungu in Africa, is a string instrument originating in Angola and traditional in Bahia (State of Brazil). It is also known among Angolans as m'bolumbumba, and used by the Kimbundu, Ovambos, Nyanekas, Humbis and Khoisan. In southern Mozambique, it is called xitende. This instrument was taken by Angolan slaves to Brazil where it started to be used to accompany the dance/fight/acrobatic sport called capoeira. The berimbau part in this video gives me goosebumps!
