I've heard complaints that the power steering doesn't offer enough assist in situations like this on the GT350. I didn't expect to see it get so out of hand at such a low speed.
im in tears. this was beautiful. i want this to be my next car but the stress of negotiating with salesman is making me procrastinate on pulling the trigger.
@Matthew Bacon no you misunderstand my intentions for this car. i dont want to garage queen it or keep miles under 2k and sell it for a fortune. no i plan on driving the heck out of it. i cant have a car like this and not drive it. dont know how others buy and dont or rarely drive.
@Matthew Bacon i freakin love the heritage edition. silver, blue, and gray would be my other colors of choice. im going to buy it. either later this year or in a couple. my company that i work for gives money for down payments on new american cars. if they give me a good amount then ill pull the trigger this year on a 2020. if not ill wait a couple years.
I envy you! There's a huge difference between your super bad-ass GT350R HE & my entry-level, white '16 GT stick with a full Roush exhaust system & Eibach lowering springs, BUT they both generate equal smile-voltage, amazingly gratifying visceral vibrations & spontaneous out-loud superlatives every single time in the cockpit! Eargasmic, Baby!
also i've seen situations where the differentials don't sense traction loss like they are supposed to, causing irregularities in wheel spin. Worn diff can do this as well
The front rear distribution on these cars is 54F/46R which is pretty good. The problem lies with how far forward the engine is positioned. Ford said they did this to allow clearance for modifications. This is a shared platform with the GT and ECO and not a GT350 dedicated Chassis. Inherently this creates some front push. Tie that in with a powerful V8 that is what you end up with. These cars do handle Great though as long as you respect them and understand your skill level.
I have an AP2 S2000 that I drive everyday as well as track days. I want to upgrade one day to the GT350 or GT350R. Has anyone driven both and can give some input and comparisons for both cars?
Do you know what bothers me the most in this world? When you see a muscle or sports car go by and they have it in silent mode! Like why did you buy that car if you are going to drive it like a sedan!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a stand alone car, nothing else sounds like it. Cars in general cost alot but if you've got the money and the inclination then who's to say its too much money.
That thing would give you a headache in about 2 minutes. I don’t get the love affair with the sounds. Sure it’s “cool” for about 2 runs through the gears. It’s just obnoxious. And I love a good sounding car.
