Well, the journey sadly has come to an end. Thank-you to my traveling friend, you've been the best. I wonder what will sit in your space in the garage.... Keep watching to find out.
Bro... any car guy will admit to their car buddies they love their machines but you DONT SAY THIS SHIT OUT LOUD hahaha. Jk man. I just bought a VFR1200x its a 16 with 9k miles cause we can only get the 16-17 in the states but anyway. I love it so far. It just replaced my 84 magna with it because it is basically its mechanical younger more powerful brother. Cannot wait for all the adventures on this bike. Utilitarian is the name of my game so everything you said put a lump in your throat makes my heart happy. Plus these bikes are sexy haha.
Sorry to see that you are selling the CT. I have just bought a 2017 DCT in same colours :-) But!! I also bought the same throttle issue as you experienced from the start. I understand that your dealer did a re-setting to factory settings of the ECU. I will ask my local Honda dealer to do this, so hope it goes as well as with your CT. Now, my question to you is: did the setting last or did it "run out of tune" over time... I saw a later video where you mention that it showed signs of again becoming over-sensitive?
Many thanks. Great question, sadly, once it was back it never went away again. I hoped it would “re-learn” but it didn’t and in all honesty it was worse than ever… I asked them to check it at the January service, and all systems report a-ok and within spec. Just older eu4 injection, such a shame. It was a factor in selling it.
@@headrace4863 Thank you so much for coming back to me on this. Well, at least I know it is "normal behavior" though it is a great shame. It definately means that any trail riding is no-go with this bike.... I wish you and your AT lots of great adventures :-)
Helloooooo! 👍👍 yeah it was a tough call, once I tried the ES version of the AT though, that was game changing and at Adventure sports model is just incredible, clearly Honda learned a lot from omitted aspects on the X-T… cruise, heated grips etc etc. The engine in the ATAS isn’t a patch on the big V4, and if I’m honest I prefer the shaft as well. I’m off to wales for the weekend tomorrow on it, so lots of videos upcoming. Thanks for checking in and hope all is well. 👍👍
Thanks man, yeah, really gonna miss this one. Absolute diamond of a machine. Yep, video coming soon on what took its place in the garage. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
Hi mate I am replacing mine with a dct crosstourer. It comes with full highlander spec and Honda fitted akropovic . The engine and build quality is hard to find out there . Yes it’s a pity Honda will not bring out another v4 but Ducati can do it and meet the standards for emissions.
Fair point, well made. I can only assume the challenges of getting the Honda V4 through euro 5 was not possible due to the age/design of the motor. The Ducati one being developed with forward compatibility in mind from around 2020 ish? Good point though and enjoy the ‘bike. 👍
