I would probably go for the 16:9 regular ratio if I had the choice again because well my laptop is only for basic use and I cant even work on anything from work outside the work laptop. Honestly haven't tried gaming tho.
Pitty they removed the power button from the side. Now the power buttons only works when you put the laptop back in laptop mode, and can we accidently press it while typing? They also removed the volume buttons on the side, that was so handy for a 2 in 1 And they still have those trashy rubbers as feets, those fall off after a few months, and then you are stuck with a laptop that slides on every keystroke... Not happy about those three changes.
You could always buy it and convert it into a Hackintosh, if it's the macOS you want. That's what I'm going to do. I built my first Hackintosh PC last month, but need a laptop as well for on-the-go.
I wish hp had some sort of trade in program, I have the 10th gen i7 version but I heard the jump from 10th gen to 11th was actually significant, with the Intel gpu also being twice as fast. And on top of that my version doesn't have that stylus magnet and the stylus itself needs a battery instead of charging
Sorry but I heard the opposite Ryzen now is better than Intel gen 11 . Look at dell XPS vs apple M1 vidéos . I think it's better to wait for the next gen of intel
I bought mine on black Friday. I have Linux dual booting on it. Sound doesn't work on the Linux side. (Tiger Lake sound is supposed to work in the next kernel.) So far I am very happy with it.
@Samsung India thanks, unfortunately I found out HP is not selling the Spectre series any longer in Denmark. I believe Asus then has the only 13" Oled alternative!? Do consider the Samsung tab s7+ too ☺️

Mine is arriving on the 11th. I purchased a Webcam cover set (giving them away to family) and did not know about the Webcam hotkey. No reviews I watched mentioned it until I saw yours.
Power button placed inside the keyboard is a design flaw. Hope they will fix it. I will skip this laptop, still happy with my 1030 g4, waiting for a 3:2 display ratio Elitebook.
@@tmquangvn is that because it looks grainy? Others seem to have reported this. I think only the 400 nit panel is a good choice. If I can source a 400 nit panel on its own is buy the 250 nit and replace it myself
@@bradjacques9406 It's uncomfortable for my eyes, it also has very limited view angle even with sureview turned off. You should go to the store if at all posible, then make your choices. 😄
why ? just purchase microsd cards and put them in an sd card ardapter in your device, afterword you remove the micro sd and put it in your laptop. In most case you don't even ened to remove your sd card, you can just conenct your device to your laptop via usb or wifi to transfer the data
@@betech4221 that's the point. Having a micro SD is much more hassle than just using a cable to your device. For photographers a normal SD is a big deal - takes seconds to remove and insert in the laptop. Compare to the workarounds needed to copy data to a micro SD first, or searching out that cable or reader. A full size SD drive hardly takes up any space. Why not even have both, there's room! Or ditch it altogether and include an extra USB or even HDMI for those that use them.
Im am looking to buy a Dell xps 15 with the i7-10750h or an hp spectre 15 with the New i7-1165g7. I will be using for light video editing and don't know if the new processor is better. I am not a computer guy and could really do with some help.
3200 MHz is the max normal DDR4 Ram speed whereas 4266 MHz is the max speed supported by LPDDR4X implementation. LPDDR4X is the low powered counterpart of DDR4 memory, it takes lot less space. Both tiger lake and Ryzen 4000 series has LPDDR4X memory controller and can support up to 4266 MHz speed.
Believe in the future where everything is soldered to the SoC to get the min latency and to share resources. It is the future to max performance and efficiency. The only reason it hasn't arrived yet is that Intel is so far behind with their roadmap. I think it would not be a problem if OEMs did not profiteer from increased specs (RAM and storage) and charge us a fair price for those upgrades. In time, there will be a market for secondhand SoC as other stuff breaks so you can recover the SoC to use in a device with a failed SoC. But I do understand that these are going to be quite reliable though only time will tell, probably more so as consumers will not be opening up their laptops and breaking something!

But here "right to repair" doesn't mean actually repair what's damaged, instead it means you demand FREEDOM to easily repair, upgrade, replace components of device that you paid for. If RAM is soldered then how will you be able to upgrade in future? What if you want to max it out? You won't be able to (it will be very risky if u try)
anyone knows a better stylus than hp pen that's compatible with the spectre 14? I've been looking for one similar to the surface pen all over amazon and google and couldn't find one
indeed, especially because the keyboard gets disabled when you turn your laptop in tent or tablet mode...then you cannot turn off or on your laptop...same thing with the volume buttons, it was so handy before...

@@betech4221 also they disable the fingerprint button too. At least on their business models it's in a sensible place. ( the acer spin 5 supports waking by the sensor in tablet mode) The volume buttons are annoying, but at least you can control that in windows, unlike the power button.

Yes! I got almost 10 hours on battery saver and 40% screen brightness. Also, there's no perceived performance hit running in battery saver performing general task. This device is one of the best tech buys I've ever made!
I bought this laptop and it does not last for 9 hours. I have smart sense on and I have windows balance on and I seriously don’t understand why I only get like 4 or 5 hours max.

Yes, amazing battery life. And you can use the stylus to... oh. Well at least you can game a bit... right. At least the SSD is upgrada... damn. It’s nice and thin to fold it o... Well, you can run iPad apps on it. Yay. :D (No hate, I’m a Mac guy, but you can’t compare the two mate)
I switched to Mac 2 years back and having used both Mac and Windows machines, I can say that MacOS sucks balls !! Installing any software outside of the AppStore is painful and the window management is terrible. As much as I love Apple hardware, I can't bare their terrible OS. I switched back to Windows 10 and love it so far.
