Andrija - He put softs on which were wearing incredibly quickly. Ferrari made a horrible call there, as they knew how fast they wore. They tried to put Vettel on soft, but he refused and asked for mediums. This is why Vettel beat Leclerc.

Ferrari is really the biggest joke in F1 currently. They have one of the biggest money pool and they are not able to create a car that can compete with Mercedes. Really sad...Vettel best thing can happen to him, just to leave Ferrari in the end (what he will do) of this season and then start a new Career for example in WEC.

Mercedes is the richest corporation on the grid. And FIA is their bitch. They own FIA. Which gave them unfair advantage in 2014, by introducing Mercedes engines as the standard. Which Mercedes was developing from 2005. That means, on top of the regular budget, FIA has basically allowed Mercedes to profit on the billions of euros that they've spent on the engine. If FIA was doing their job this unfair advantage would have never happened. Or at least they would have changed regulations to fix the unfair decision in 2015. But instead, they've continued favoring Mercedes and Hamilton. Today the real hero was Verstappen who started at P7 and ended at P2. And his mechanics, who managed to fix the broken suspension. While Hamilton, Bottas and Mercedes are disgrace for F1.

Putting him on soft was indeed quite bad but to be fair, most others on the mediums were fucked as well because the rain never came, so getting him early on hards could have been a nice undercut, if they didnt release him right into traffic. Thats what really ruined his race, considering how far ahead Vettel came out after his stop.

Man, if I'm not wrong, back in the 60's, Jim Clark lapped the last entire grid by 5 minutes... Not saying it was bad, but shishows could be worse than today's. I GET your point though. Latifi went even beyond by ending being massively lapped AFTER the 18th place...which is awful.

Hill of course drove the utterly useless Brabham-Judd, which mostly was so slow no drivers could even qualify it for the races. Damon Hill however won the 1995 Australian GP at Adelaide (last race on this track) by over two laps from 2nd placed Oliver Panis, and 5 laps(!) ahead of Bertrand Gachot in the Pacific-Ford. 1995 wasn't *that* long ago. So OP clearly didn't check up anything and just assumed somebody being a few laps behind to the winner at the finish is something utterly unheard of.

Clearly Red Bull and Racing Point are far above Ferrari, McLaren and Renault.They will technically fight for the second position but I think Racing Point are stronger

Well, I mean, they gave him the first pit stop and screwed Vettel but Vettel was faster during the entire race. Either something was off with Charles' car or Vettel was just better this weekend.

It had more to do with Leclerc's tyre management. There was nothing wrong with either Leclerc's or Seb's strategy.

@@ar3039 Seb's pit was bad though, they had a window to let him go before the Red Bull crossed and decided to wait for another 2 cars to pass. Vettel stood over 9 seconds stationary instead of the regular sub 3 seconds, so he lost almost 7 seconds in there, these 7 seconds made him lose track position a lot, he could've gotten close to Stroll and would definitely finish ahead of Albon.

They even tried to pit sebastian for softs too, thankfully he managed to dodge that bullet.

The feeling is that there is a serious lack of direction in that team

@@swirtrollszarman106 haas were on wets, it was no brainer to pit, when everyone else was on inters and even considering slicks, theey had no choice, but to pit. Kvyat was on inters and was 100% right saying he should put slicks on, but team didn't allowed him to.

That's because Mercedes has an unfair advantage, so when you're driving a normal car you have to drive like crazy to catch them. Verstappen is an amazing driver. Much better than Hamilton. He managed to get between the two Mercedeses, while driving an inferior car. If they gave him a Mercedes, Hamilton wouldn't win a race again.
