👍 surprisingly, i like this boring car too! Hyundai is really bringing a lot of features to the table, and their warranty😯 u can no longer ignore Hyundai when looking to buy new.
I like Hyundai Elantra but it's affordable. I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra S model with a 6speed manual transmission. I wish the Hyundai would have manual transmission. Personally I like driving a standard
If this is the most boring car you have ever driven, wait until u get your hands on the current Subaru Impreza. Trust me, it will exceed your worst expectations.
I am aware this does not represent what the company promotes, and does not reflect the quality of the product, but I am just back from a Hyundai dealership to look at this model and I had the following exchange with a sales rep: Me: I'm not clear about the IVT. What is it? Does it really make a difference, compared to other transmissions (improving performance or anything)?" Sales rep: "Meh." Kinda weird, knowing how much they promote this feature. Make of that information what you will.
You can call the 2020 Elantra boring, comatose, etc.I bought the '20 Elantra Value Edition a few months ago, I really like the car, with one exception that you mentioned, those triangular extended dorito headlights. The previous Elantra before this had much better looking headlights. This is my 3rd Elantra. They are great cars and my experience is that they are very reliable. And BTW if you switch the drive mode into Sport, it does give the car a little more kick. The one thing I definitely notice is no matter what mode you use to drive this car, Normal, Smart, or Sport, this 2020 Elantra with the CVT has much more pick up than my previous 2016 Elantra.
Definitely a step down in the changed body. Reminds me of a Buick...old man's car. There was nothing like the 2012-16 model...sexiest car in its class.
Review is on-the-money. I had a 2018 SEL on a three year lease. Just got a 2020 SEL. I, too, think the 2018 was better looking, but I love the Dark Grey Color, and it lessens the ugliness of the new front fascia. The IVT is really not bad. If I lived in a place where there were fun twisty roads, maybe I wouldn't love this car so much. I live in South Florida, though. It's flat and straight. Nothing better at this price. No way
