So cool to see Paul in the Final 9. He's one of the most consistently underrated players in my opinion. His all-round game is fantastic, his commentary is insightful and entertaining, and his teaching ability is praiseworthy. Thanks, Jomez!
Two thoughts... 1. Instead of “Macbeth-y” we should use the term “Macbeth-ian” makes it sound more grandiose. 2. Do you think when he plays with other discraft guys and they shoot a great shot with one of his signature discs that he, in the most “Macbethian” 😏 way, says, “you’re welcome”?
Hole 7. I'm in full agreement with Jerm. There's something about the confidence that comes from knowing you've been there before and have come out on top. Ownership.
I've watched all three rounds now, and I just can't understand why you would go for the birdie on hole 5. Why not just go for the safe par every time? More often than not, you will bogey the hole if you go for it.
yeah it's not a percentage play for sure. I think it only makes sense to do it if you're down a healthy amount of strokes in the final round and still want to make a play for first, or there is not much wind at the time and youre feeling confident you'll make it
@@ZobOg420 Actually a lot of times people do. Heimburg sealed the victory on 18 by playing it safe off the tee, preventing any possible disaster. And in the cast Koling and Uli talk about the guy who laid up on an inside-the-circle putt years ago in a playoff and won. As a casual player I'm always going to go big because it's more fun and that's all I care about, but if you're trying to win tournaments it's definitely not always smart to go big lol.
One of the best things about McBeth is that he has not adopted the vigorous hand wave to dry his hand off, he just sticks to spit and dirt like a real man.
Idk if you follow reg golf but PGA Tour has adopted this a little bit. Most tourneys are a bit stuffy but the fun events they tried having players commentate in the booth after their round. They did it with Phil Mickelson and everyone loved it, super popular. They give these insights how the guys play holes or view things. Wish they'd do more cuz it's just like the commentary on this video

Spoiler alert: I've been watching a lot of videos and am confused why I've not seen Paul Ulibarri more often. I was really impressed with the round one coverage consistency in the first couple holes, saving par so often before finally getting a bogey. I hope this video shows more of the same. Just started watching it and saw another great par save on the first hole.
love jomez and all you guys have done, but this commentary did not feel up to par with years past. i actually found myself bored during a jomez video. look through the eyes of someone who is new to the sport as topics come up throughout the commentary. perhaps provide talking points for the voices to make sure they stay on track. i learned so much thru bigsexy commentary in years past that helped me become a better player, i feel like too many great opportunities for providing good analysis were forgone. commentators, please take these chances in the future to provide more valuable information to viewers who dont share first hand knowledge of the course. thanks for all your efforts, cheers.
At this point you might as well just put ditto marks on the scorecard. One less birdie and you have three players with the exact same scorecard through 9.
A nice detail might be a look back to the tee pad from the basket at the end of the drone flight to see all the angles. it would be interesting to some I think, to get that perspective. Otter Brook home course, very nice.
Thank you for your amazing coverage! You can’t beat this “traditional” disc golf coverage format imo. I know it’s great for our sport to be on CBS sports, but I just don’t like the condensed format that you have to have with the CBS sports coverage.
