What do you think of the new Lincoln Aviator? Cross shopping it with the Cadillac XT6? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VyIWXqPUbmQ.html
Caddie is just an Acadia front drive clone stretched 5 inches. The Aviator kills it in every category. Looks, interior, power, comfort and everything else
We’ve driven a lot of 3rd row SUV’s (4 & 6 yo daughters here). About 1/2 mile into the Aviator test drive my wife was sold on it. That interior makes you feel special. Everything else TSP’s mentioned is a nice bonus too.
TheStraightPipes I’m still waiting on that Guilia QV review. You not doing that review is as frustrating to me as Yuri not testing a car without rewinding sat radio...so yeah, it hurts.
Sorry Cadillac, even the Aviator name is cooler than XT6. The inside of the Aviator looks like high-end furniture, like a leather covered Eames chair with your walnut side table.
🚨Guys!!! I don’t know if you read the reviews posted underneath your videos, but I’d like to start off by saying that the Lincoln Aviator is a Lincoln Navigator wannabe. Secondly, the look of the Lincoln Navigator blows away the look of the Lincoln Aviator. Lastly, the snow tires recommended for this vehicle are all wrong. Those are snow tires wannabes. Actual tires for winter travel are actually called winter tires. They are far more aggressive in the tread design which are made for snow country. The tires you showed are suited to get you home from work at best. Those who live in snow country know better. Nevertheless, I love the way you produce your videos!❤️
How fantastic that you got to test drive these two American competitors within a similar time frame. I knew The Aviator was better and you guys just confirmed it. Well done Lincoln.
I used to be a big Cadillac fan. Lincoln has been stomping Cadillac for the past few years. If it weren't for Super Cruise Cadillac wouldn't even be a blip on the radar.
Bought the Explorer ST, it rides too rough for my wifes taste. This has the same power plant, will be upgrading soon. (Plus the Ford feels very cheaply thrown together, the brembos paint is chipping and the window controls chrome is chipping)
You’re the only people I’ve ever seen complain about those seats...they’re literally a reason to buy this vehicle over so many other choices in the market.
Hey guys ,just wanted to mention that I was at the Toronto car show earlier this and sat in this SUV and found it far more luxurious than the navigator. I'm by no means a fan of ford or Lincoln but this vehicle is quite stunning
The Aviator blows away the XT6 in pretty much every way. We are going to cross shop the Volvo XC90 and the Lincoln Aviator. The XC90 has long been my favorite, but the Aviator looks so nice, I don’t think I could buy the Volvo without giving the Lincoln a chance or I’d always be wondering what-if.
The base Aviator actually starts less expensive than the XT6, but can get quite a bit more expensive than the XT6. Lincoln and Cadillac may have taken different approaches, but the XT6 and Aviator certainly compete with each other. Which other Cadillac would compete with the Aviator, or which other Lincoln would compete with the XT6?
The competition is getting more fierce in this luxury segment, excited to see how genesis responds with the launch of their gv80 SUV being revealed soon and going on sale in early 2020
I believe the function of exhaust tips pointing downward was part of fords new exhaust design in lieu of the carbon monoxide poisoning cases. The explorer is the same.
Okay, so I was there. You borrowed my car, to go get some rollers. But there was only 2 of you. I'm so perplexed. Love the review. Killed it. Pleasure meeting you both. Great job. Awesome channel.
When I first saw this I thought that it was a Range Rover brother, I am a fan of how this looks. I like the way the back look too. I will be looking for a new 3 row SUV in next year or so and this is on my list.
You guys should try to get a 2020 GX‼️Ever since the RxL came out it kinda became irrelevant but it's more powerful, capable, & offers more features than the cramped 3 row version of the RX & I think it's cooler looking now 🤷🏽♂️
I know a lot of people don't need to subscribe anymore because the algorithm's pretty good, but seriously 60%?! every time I see it my mind is slightly blown.
8:40 I just hope they could make the grey part aligned, also the backlight and the tailgate as well. It kinda makes me feel that the car's not assembled with enough care.
Is it just an optical illusion in many of the shots or do the rear lights on the hatch not match up with those one the body???!!! (They look like they are mis aligned by like an inch)
The trim pieces on the front door also don't align with the front fender. Either this is a preproduction model or Ford just don't build cars with the same tolerances as Japanese or German automakers. Although probably still better panel gaps than say a Tesla.
The black soot from the pipe get on the paint job with can stain over time that is why they changed it....I had the problem in my Ford Fusion Titanium AWD that was painted white.
Luxury cars should allow you to hide the infotainment screen when not in use. The screens are just an eyesore on an otherwise well designed interior. Critical/necessary information can be displayed in the driver's gauges.
I bought the Grand Touring PHEV and I'm very happy with it. Not the greatest electric range at about 30km, but even so, about 2/3 of my driving has been on electric only since I'm mostly doing short trips around town and this is not a commuter vehicle for us. We also have the Audi E-tron and I like driving this vehicle more than the Audi. It feels to me like they benchmarked an Audi for this vehicle. The level 2 charging for this vehicle is very slow, the E-tron charge rate at home is about 3 times faster. I have the pixel headlights and they are amazing. My biggest complaint is a too sensitive accelerator, you barely touch it and the car takes off. Here in BC, I can use the HOV lanes with this PHEV which is a great bonus. I bought during employee pricing which made the PHEV affordable enough to consider. I'm not sure what the hate-on is about for the tailpipes, I like them nice and clean. The drive mode and the center display options are not connected to preferences which is a bit annoying, I change the drive mode and display every time I get in, the Etrons I don't have to. I wish this had the sync 4 which is now coming on the Nautilus because the sync 3 is definitely laggy
Broken Minato From what I heard people don't like the soot on their exhaust tips. You know we've hit maximum evolution when people actually concern themselves with such trivial things.
2025 Exhaust Tips LOL! Despite the real dumpy rear end the Aviator wins this size class! The XT6 looks like a regular GMC product. I agree with the need for a physical home button on the infotainment. It should be where the hazard button is and a hazard button should be a switch like the drive modes and placed where adjacent to them with reasonable gap to avoid inadvertent engagements.
Never again getting a vehicle featuring air suspension. My Audi Allroad was an early adopter of air suspension, after 5 years I had to replace leaking micro-punctured shocks on 3 of 4 corners (C$2500 per corner), then ended up replaced all 4 with aftermarket coilovers . . . expensive lesson on planned obsolescence. This wouldn't apply if you trade in new every 3 years.
This exhaust doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the Audi’s and mercs. The new s6 in Europe has this but the actual exhaust is like a foot rearward and the tips are just bolted to the car (source: carthrottle)
I agree - glossy black plastic is gross - why didn't they just match that central wood piece or put metal in its place. For the price of this car - they should have gotten rid of the shiny plastic.
Lincoln! So glad to see Well made US cars again. Seriously, so glad! Fellas, you're reviewing a luxury car, I don't mean wear a tux or suit, but your bright yellow pancho and t-shirts are distracting. I kept thinking, it's nice but not that fancy, but it's actually your vagabond clothes that detract from the luxury. I mean it in the nicest way possible, and I'm not even Canadian! Sooorry! Love your videos.
I really really don't like that trunk gap misalignment. not to mention, there's a slightly mismatching gap on the front hood and headlights... great design but not the execution of it.
Those head lights look like they were lifted from a Ford escape. And the taillights look like a Mercedes GLE. Am I the only one who hates the outside???
Ford started pointing the exhaust tips down on the police package explorer because of the exhaust seeping into the cabin when idling. I am not sure if that has anything to do with the reason these are pointed down. I also see a lot of diesel tips pointing down, probably because of the soot.
