I like american trucks style. No difficulties, no marketing bullshits and no new design every year. However I´d prefer disc brakes, the maintenance is easier. I did not know, that US trucks use 12V system onboard. Is it also the starting voltage? As I can see, the interior and engine is completely Volvo, or at least some systems were taken there.

Looks like Mack doesn’t care about frame protection 😮 brand new truck and already developing rust around the running gear . Is the frame made out of Chinesium ? Mack’s charging a lot of Money for plastic everywhere. And they had to cheap out on rust prevention too ???

I'd really worry about that Mack bulldog getting repeatedly ripped off and stolen from the hood

I drive one. Drives smooth. A little puny on hills. The controls are nice once you get used to them. The engine braking is noticeably less aggressive than the Freightliner I was in before. You give up sleeper width fand cab room or the Mack look. The only real complaints I have so far is the door latches don't always work right and the front privacy curtain hangers are a cheap joke. Expect to break several hangers in the first year if you actually use them.

Very silent when you closed the door, even with open hood...

So, I’ve been told that Mack still has 13spd transmissions and 600 horsepower engines. I suppose you would have to order this because I never see one being revealed on RU-vid. Also, I don’t believe I’ve seen a manual transmission in a Mack or Volvo in a long time. I would love to know the different settings on the engines that Mack offers and know the different Manual transmission’s. Please advise me on this. Looking to help my company out with some new amenities to the company for longevity success. Thanks.

In my opinion, Mack made a big mistake by practically becoming a Volvo sub-brand. Unlike Western Star, which was just developing its brand on trucks that are the opposite of Freighliner, solid and reliable even for small truck owners. Mack didn't even try that strategy. It's sad that two American brands that used to be known for reliability and strength like Mack and Western Star are becoming just poor copies of Volvo and Freightliner. Anthem is just a Volvo with a Mack badge and a worse engine.

Maybe a dumb question, sorry I am not a truck driver. What is the electrical black box for that is located in the front of the truck? I notice that you show it in all of your videos. Thanks!!

Mack is a cheaper version of a volvo trucks ! Inside is very unstable and rattles and squeaky while driving ! I'll stick with Volvo for now

I purchase a new Mack Anthem 2019 poor quality control cheap materials used in construction Ive had electrical issues with lights, wipers and cab lean, door lock ,mirror recall, blower fan. Its not built sold as Volvo. I own a 2013 780 loaded it was a good truck over a 1 million miles. I traded it for a Anthem A mistake wanted to save some money but after 1 year it's not worth 135k I paid. Again its nice in style but poor quality control and materials used. BUYER BEWARE. WARRANTY ISN'T GOOD ALSO. I've owned Freightliner, Kenworth ,Volvo now a Mack only 205k miles wouldn't recommend. A concern Veteran.🇺🇸😎

Love the self explanatory video we as truckers know the basics of storage this truck has a good amount of storage but wasn’t expecting the slide out fridge all of the electrical outlets and USB are definitely a plus with me I would most definitely choose this over the cascadia as a go to truck only thing not sure on how reliable the engine is compared to the DD12

This is by far the most beautiful aerodynamic truck ever! Mack did a great job combining classic and modern design

Make sure to close the bunk windows before rolling out . They will rip right off in the wind . Nice truck , but cheaply made . I've had one for about 34k miles and I like it . Just be careful with the window buttons and as I mentioned the bunk windows. I've had both replaced already.

Anyway my company has the anthems and T680s I prefer the anthems have down overall but I will say this as far as driver comfortability for a plump fella like myself the Mack was kind of rough with its unforgiving hard plastics immediately around the cockpit
