2020 MG RX5 Review - Behind the Wheel 

We owned MG RX5 Style, bought it last February 2021. Have tested its fuel consumption for both drive and sports transmission (yes there's a sports transmission for automatic variant) for 5 days of work from Laguna to Pasay and returning. For those questioning its fuel consumption, here's what we got. For drive transmission, a full tank fully consumes for 5 - 6 days driving ranging 18L to 12L/100km in city driving and 9L to 6L/100km in highway driving. For sports mode transmission, a full tank consumes only 35% for 5 days driving ranging 15L to 10L/100km in city driving and 8L to 6L/100km in highway driving. Kindly take note that MG RX5 is not good for fuel efficiency. However, sports transmission (improved manual transmission) really saves a lot of gas but depends on the driver's skill/habits. I shift gear every 2,000 RPM and maintaining speed at 80 kph more often than 100 kph.

I absolutely love this car. I've seen it in person and it's just amazing. The red color of this model pops and stand out. How I wish I can afford this one.

MG cars look very stylish and appear to be expensive. But when I enquired about the pricing, I was surprised to find out that the MG RX5 is not as expensive as it seems. It is a 5 seater SUV that is very powerful on the engine and has loads of features inside the cabin. The engine makes 166 hp, which is a lot in the given price range. The infotainment system and the comfort are two things that I absolutely love inside the cabin. I own the 5-speed manual gear option and I would recommend the same to everyone who is looking to buy a new SUV.

That turbochsrged 1.5 sounds decent for it's size. I'd say it fits the car well.

Bought MG RX5 2 3 weeks back and now experiencing some problems. my fog lights always automatically turns on and off. Timed and counted it around 25x it has been doing that. Even Mg technicians was not able to answer.
