Everyone hates Nissan for the CVT, but this is where it shines, it's always over the EPA rating. We still have to see how their newest CVT's do in reliability.
True, I used to have a 3.5 altima and it would get great gas milage especially being a v6. I got a naturally aspirated v6 infiniti m35x after that which felt smoother but was nowhere near the same mpgs as my altima despite very similar power
@@TheGuruStudthose 5spd autos definitely didn’t have performance oriented gearing, long and generally lazy gears. The awd isn’t gonna directly effect the mpg like a Subaru does since it’s rwd 99 percent of the time. Though lugging around the extra weight which you’ve highlighted won’t help.
The miles 2 empty 4 the tank doesn't change very fast with the altima. It takes a while. Sometimes after 200 miles. I constantly get in the 600's for a tank and sometimes 700+ mile tanks on my 2016.
The blind spot warning indicator is the best implementation I have seen yet. Next best is in Audi. The warning indicator placed directly on the mirror itself is a bit limited in rainy and/or dark.
I am surprised at the mpg especially considering that this is the VC Turbo. Besides the CVT change, Nissan needs to offer this engine with AWD. Also, those cheap looking tail lamps should be LED on the Platinum model
So far from Tx-Va it averaged 36-37mpg the entire way. From Va-Sc it averaged right at 40mpg. From Sc-Fl 36mpg. Pretty efficient for the power and that’s using cruise control going 75-80mph most of the way. Va-Sc I drove about 73mph.
My gf has a 2018 Maxima. We drove from Missoula Montana almost to salt lake on one tank of premium at 89 mph most of the way on cruise. They get good mileage.
My friend just rented the altima to drive from NY.to NC and he also got 45mpg. My other friend got 47 going from New York to Florida in his own altima when he moved there with a packed car.
The fuel ramge of your Nissan Altima display varies when you fill up gas tank depends on your driving habits. I seen my fuel tank range display go up to 500 miles of range
nice review, liked and subscribed. maybe not enough miles. i have had this happen on short hiway mileage in the 100 mile range. wouldn't make sense to run a whole tank on the highway, but that might be the only way to get rid of anomalies.
Lmfao you passed I-96 and Latson. I live right near that exit. You actually did better than I do with my Versa in terms of gas mileage. But I also drive 80mph on the freeway. Lol
I didn't sleep very good last night, I have a sleep disorder called non24, and it is annoying! It's a sleep disorder in blind people. It's kind of hard to explain. This morning I just decided to listen to a little tv, and listen to some videos while there is a shitty show on tv that I don't care about. By the way, Mercedes I wasn't talking to you! :) I had to!
That number MPG is wrong! I got a 2019 Altima 2.5L and it only get me around 500 miles range driving cursing 75 MPH on interstate 75 from Orlando to Nashville Tenseness
The mpg isn't wrong. My friend just drove 2 Florida in his altima and averaged 46mpg going 70-75mph in his 2.5 I was going 70-80mph on a trip to Atlantic city and got 45mpg so...
Some people don’t like 2020 Altima and they complain about the CVT. It’s not much different. 2020 Altima is just like a 2016 Altima . It has the same engine. 2020 Altima drives like a 2016 Altima.
It handles engine power much differently and gives a bit better mpg than the old 1 though not crazy noticeable because the tank is smaller in the new 1.
@@occckid123if I get a 2020 Altima I'd still keep my 2016 tho because they both peppy in they own way I'm thinking of getting cvt flush my 2016 has over 200,000 and starting to whine but dealership told me it's best to let it just go out on its own being the fluid has never been flushed on the car and that changing fluid at this point would likely ruin the transmission almost immediately
@@occckid123 ok so you mean you wouldn't be scared of risking CVT failing after a drain and refill instead of the flush even after having 200k plus miles?
