I love the look of the car! Peugeot are on a roll now! My Daughter has the previous version, the only things I'm not keen on with her car are:- 1.0 The Manual Gearbox (Could Do Better) 2.0 The Minuscule Glove Box on all right hand drive cars. They hold one glove (provided the material is thin enough) I assume they have corrected these flaws with this model.
The latest cars are definitely better! This was an auto, but I drove the 2008 SUV as a manual, so stay tuned for that review. As for the glovebox - you could probably get a pair in there now! LOL. Thanks for your great comment!
Great little car Brown Bear Guy and one that I was considering. I just wish it came with heated fabric front seats (like the 2008) or at least the cost-option to spec them. You can spec heated full leather seats - but those are an eye-watering £1,400 option! I don't particularly like or want leather seats. To coin a phrase from Game of Thrones; "Winter is coming"... and I don't fancy freezing my butt off - all because Peugeot were extremely tight with their list of options for the higher spec 208 models. Thus, I am considering other makes & models that DO have heated seats. Great review BTW.
So kind! I started this channel properly at the end of last year. To see a ton more of my previous reviews - check the playlists or head over to RU-vid.com/Motoringmiddleeast - Thanks 🙏🏽☺️
@@BrownCarGuy Just to add BBG that not long after I posted the above, Peugeot updated their trim levels for the 208 and I now have a 208 GT Premium 130 EAT8 on order which, thankfully, comes with heated seats! Very much looking forward to taking delivery in the coming weeks. Your review definitely helped my decision in buying this wonderful little car - so a massive thumbs up my friend! :)
Nice little car for nice little people (like me !). No good for tallbrowncarguys. The USB port on the front left looks like a newer USB-C port ? Why are car manufacturers still bothering to make small diesel powered cars (demonisation of diesel) ? The 44mpg is rubbish - I was getting that from cars I drove over 30 years ago.
LOL - true possibly. Yeah I think it was a USB-C. Mpg is all about how you drive it - I didn't spare the throttle myself LOL. Remember, cars are bigger, heavier and cleaner now, so even though the engines are more efficient, the mpg may not compare well with cars of yesteryear. Thanks for your great feedback!
I agree actually. But for me it depends on the car. Some cars, just feel better and sharper to drive and are more suited to Sports mode. But generally for SUVs and family cars I usually leave them in normal mode.
