What do you think of the new 992?

0-100 in 3.4 sec with only that kind of horsepower and torque Porsche engineers are something else.

I took delivery of my 992 C4S on Oct 15. I’ve driven 6,500 miles in sunshine, pouring rain, snow, ice, everything possible. This car ROCKS! It is definitely bigger than my 996 Turbo X50, but what a grand GT-style sporting car. Faster than stink, sticks to the road like paint, solid as an Abrams tank, more spacious interior, etc. I’d do it all over again.

Love that interior. They did focus on enhancing the sound in 992, it is getting a lot better. I took advantage of someone else taking the depreciation and got a 991.1 - and right now I still think that is my favorite choice. 7 speed is clunky but that 3.8 NA motor can't stop putting a smile on your face. You guys should check one out, old school Carrera S.

I really like the looks of this car, my dad has a 79’ 911 targa and I see so much of it in the design of this car, like those lines in the hood and the wrap around light bar. Definitely looks better than last gen in my opinion

You guys missed a tiny cool detail. The third brake light and slots in back make 992. There’s 9 slots on each side of the third brake light and the light is 2 slots. 9-9-2 ;)

That wee little shifter looks like they couldn't decide, one team wanted to remove it all together, the other wanted to keep a standard size, chunky shifter. So they compromised, with this weird, little, shiftlet thing.

I love how they widened all the proportions. This is a seriously attractive car in my eyes and it will be even better when the manual comes out

I think that Porsche definitely hit the nail on the head with styling. I just love it. I also love the sound which is quite surprising because it's a flat six but man does it sound good. If I were to take it over the competition I would take this over the previous generation 991 911 but not the GT3, I would also take this over the Nissan GTR. If I were to pick between a C8 Corvette or this it depends because if I were to have a dedicated track car then I would take the C8 Corvette but if I were to have a daily driver and it would have to be a sports car I would take this. But for me the overall winner is the Audi R8.

SERIOUS QUESTION: Where can I get that hoodie?

I don't think people realize how good the Sport Response feature actually feels. I've owned and daily'd cars with manual transmissions for the past 11 years and never thought twice about owning another automatic. Driving a 992 911 with PDK made me realize the manual transmission could die and I'd be fine with a PDK. Sport Response is a hero-maker. The shifts are so quick, the tach snaps from one rev to another. All hail, Sport Response.

Nice car but those floating buttons? Forget about it! More of those please. Also can you guys review an old classic car or a camper van? No idea why but I think i'd be funny. Keep up the great work and hope to see more live stuff.

991.2 Manual GT3 is still my dream car. But seeing how good this is makes me very very excited for what the 992 GT3 will have to offer. Hopefully, it sticks with the manual and the naturally aspirated flat-6.

the lines in the hood make the front end look amazing to me for some reason, wouldn't think they'd make that much of a difference. love the lower fascia in the front too.

Hey guys, small correction. It is not a "Boxer" engine, unless your boxer has 3 arms. A Subaru has a Boxer engine because it has 4 cylinders, 2 pushing in opposite directions mimicking a boxer. A 6-cylinder would simply be called a flat 6. Regardless, keep up the good work!

I think the digital dash will age really poorly. The 991 will be the better option in 15ish years. It’s the same reason rolls Royce/Bentley/Bugatti still use a lot of physical switches so they won’t outdated quickly

I’m just curious to see how much better the GT cars will be, you already have the S with 410 hp and 0-60 in 3.4

Not a single reviewer has mentioned that the front end is a reference to the 993.

Beautiful car... But trust me the base model 911 With a few additional extras is more than enough for real world driving and is a fantastic everyday car.... Plus you'll save a bundle....

I dont like that look of the plastic part at the front an rear - i hope Porsche offers a option to get them also in the main colour.

Summary: everything looks kind of the same, maybe a little different, not sure. Everything functions the same.

I'm not a huge fan of the new design. Too much black plastic for me. But I get that they had to change it somehow. And call me weird but the new location for the license plate looks strange to me, that notch that it used to have was part of the signature look IMO. But I am thrilled that they are keeping the manual. Especially considering this and the previous generation will probably be what I'll have to choose from in the used market when they drop under 50K 10 years from now. I imagine the NA 997s and 991s will be the more desirable cars and hold value similar to how the air cooled cars did after water cooled cars came out (but who knows they keep making more and more cars). Engine note wont be as sweet but I know the torque will make up for it!

This car is just so Perfect

This is the only car I would drive everyday. I mean, everywhere. No need to be 700 hp+ or crazy thrilling fast. And the taillight is just 🤪. This is a perfect sport car in my opinion :)

Saw one last weekend in D.C, at a red light. When the light turned green the 911 was no where in sight.

Funny that on the nav screen when it shows the steering wheel, only the centre guage pod is showing. The other stuff is blacked out.

I have a 1987 3.2 and the same issue with the steering wheel obscuring the gauges, in part.

Amazing car. Very tough call to pick this over a C8 though. The C8 is much cheaper and has probably the same or arguably better fun factor. Porsche obviously has the bigger luxury appeal though

I don't like the black plastic at all. It makes me think Chevy Avalanche, Pontiac Aztec, and that whole time period where that became a cheap popular option. I'm still torn on the vertical lines beneath the windshield.

You guys should buy some human-size doll/manikin things that are varying sizes so we can find out the height limit for people that fit in the back seats of these 4-seat coupes, because you guys never fit, but maybe a doll that's like 5 foot 5 would still fit.

You cant see the gas meter in my Audi S5 without moving as well. Inconvenient, but no big deal.

The only thing I do not like, is the new tiny shifter. The one from last year, that PDK shifter looked so much better. The wierd thing they still have that better PDK shifter in the 718, Macan, ect. Porsche, DON'T FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKEN. I hate that Brawn shaver/shifter. On a side note Yuri and Jacob, have you seen the Porsche custom color, Oak Green Metallic? Imagine a Porsche in that color and Burnt Copper wheels.
