I have never seen such a clean ,well organized workshop and I mean ANYWHERE . Your enthusiasm is amazing. What does your wife say about your shop? How about a video on building an adjustable archites / engineers drafting table minim size 36"x48" .
Suggestion on the miter saw dust collection: I have a hose attached to the exhaust port on the saw ( the Bosch 12” glide). The majority of the sawdust makes it to that hose, and I stick the other end of the hose up the end of the the 6 inch dust collector duct, and any dust that escapes the small diameter hose gets sucked in by 6” dust of the dust collector (in my case, a ClearVue CV 1800, which is in the same class as yours.) It works very well.
For the Miter Saw dust collection, Fishers Shop has a neat jig that can be made for it that helps a lot. I think he may have the same exact saw. Check it out!
Just watched your interview with black rifle. If you ever want to get out with someone and do some whitetail hunting I have property in South Eastern Indiana and Central Kentucky. Always looking for a new hunting buddy to chase whitetails as well as dove.
Ya I got a better suggestion, RAS! “Oh but they’re dangerous and not safe and hazardous and risky and treacherous and threatening and menacing and reckless and dicey and WAAAAAA!!!!”🙄 just be careful, you’ll be fine! Besides, they’re way more stable than any sliding compound silliness. More powerful too. Remember, like all miter saws, they are a rough dimensioning tool (though a RAS is closer to perfect than a sliding stupid saw😬) So, if you want perfect, crosscut sled on the table noize! You’re welcome🙂
Yikes I can only imagine what those big machines cost for just the woodworking I'm gonna stick with lowes and keep gettin stuff I feel I need to really get goin
John Malecki they are great plans. Some of the most detailed plans I have bought. Keep doing what you’re doing. I laugh like hell while learning some good stuff from your videos.
I’ve been one of those weird non-subscribed watchers for way too long. Kinda creepy right! I’m a SUBSCRIBER now!!! Kinda creepy right? Content is quality and amusing. I can’t emphasize enough how hard it is for a WVU (81-83) guy to go all in on a Pitt channel. We all have to learn to love each other, why not start here.
John, I have really enjoyed your content since coming across your page a few months ago. I believe I join many others in the school of thought that we would benefit and appreciate a video (or even a series) cataloguing your journey from the NFL to where you are today. It’s not only refreshing to watch your humor in your videos but your level of humility in that you aren’t afraid to admit when you’ve made a mistake. Just a thought! In either case, continue to produce quality content and good luck in all your endeavors! #TitanUp
As an amateur with woodworker, I typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement. Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . I now work like a genius. That is great!?
Have you ever had other woodworkers that are fans of your channel and your work ever come to your shop and work with you for a week so they can learn more about the trade and if you have would you ever do it again
Looking at building a pole barn that will house my woodworking shop as well as other things. What are the dimensions of your woodworking area of the shop? I like the flow and feel of yours so trying to get an idea of the size and square footage.
No not really, and star screws are getting a little more popular, Phillip head screws are the most popular and all of the wood stores have mostly have Philip head screws even though they suck
If ever you need any kind of steel, Fab/Cut/machined, you are a block from one of the bigger shops in the Burgh. Wheatonandsons.com. They are a great shop to work with. Ask for Tom or Bronc or just walk in.
Enjoyed the tour. Love the "Safety third" sign. I work for a large corporation, and we are always being told "Safety First". I tell them if safety was first, we would never get out of bed, and definitely not drive. One question...I don't see the link for Ashley the lathe expert. Thanks!
I swear people get paid every time they say bessey. When ever they use one of their clamps, 99% of the time, they say the name. But any other tool, they don't say the name of it. Like, they don't say I'm using a DeWalt grinder, or I'm using a Milwaukee impact to screw.
Great video! What's the total sqft of your wood shop? I'm looking to build something similar and I'm trying to get a feel for how much space I will need for just areas to walk and move around.
1,000 likes? You gotta set your goals higher, man. The videos only been up 6 hours and its already over 1600. Keep up the great and entertaining content. I love seeing your work.
Hi John, you should go and get yourself a nice Dewalt DWS780 to replace your BOSCH miter saw. Here in Belgium they're thé way to go miter saws when working in a professional shop.
Great video and Shop. I saw that you stayed you are not a Marine, nevertheless, Semper Fi from all is Marines for your support. In addition I had the Ridgid 12” compound miter and recently upgraded to the Festool Kapex. Will not go back. I also noticed that you stated your router lift was the MLCS powerlift pro. If so how do you like it compared to a Woodpecker, Jessem, Or other top router lifts?no head to head with the auto lifts and other lifts. That would be a good video!! Thanks again. Keep up the good work
Begging for one thousand likes was a huge turnoff. Affiliate marketing is a win-win, but this seems more like broadcast television with the multiple asks for likes, then subscribes, and purchase of plans. You might take a page from Joe Rogan and contain your commercialized message to beginning and end. My first time here, I won't be back. Seems like you have some good things going but it just turned me off unfortunately. I hope you consider this constructive criticism and good luck!
Look at the Makita LS1219L 12" Compound Sliding Miter Saw. I got the same Bosch as you did a couple years ago and am thinking I should have waited for the new Makita.
Does JET make microphones? If so, you need to 'axt' them to hook you up. Audio has a tendency to fade in and out. PS, I just found your channel yesterday, and LOVE the content. You’re my new best friend!
Can you give dimensions on the shop? We are going to be moving and have to build a new wood/metal shop as well as short and gun shops and obviously a house as ours burned down a couple months ago, we've been thinking about building a 150 x 50 building for it all, looking at 2500 square ft for the house 1200 or so for the shirt shop
So you have sponsorship - that's really awesome! And you have all of those really cool expensive precision tools in your shop. But you didn't build your own woodworking bench? What does that say for your cred my friend?
As a pro welder I can honestly say Lincoln makes horrible mig machines. Not saying that because I don’t like Lincoln they just truly are not good machines. Engine driven on the other hand Lincoln is the way to go
Jfc there must be like at least a half mill. In machines and tools, parts, etc. probably more than a mill considering the entire outfitting of the building to run everything. Quite impressive
went thru SOME of the comments, can you tell me what size your shop is and what size did you start with. so tired of tripping over wood and trying to find everything. really need to organize or find a storage
I just got mine yesterday and just spent some time squaring it up. The tall fence inserts are worthless. Not square to the bottom ones at all. Kinda bummed about that, but not a huge deal. I'm excited to use it.
Love your videos. Quick question on your edge sander, to get longevity out of the belt, why don’t you run your rest on an angle? It would use more of the belt instead of one area.
UMMM sorry, sir but the Harbor freight toolbox is much better than your overpriced Milwaukee tool box sir and this is coming from a guy that has all Milwaukee tools. The U.S General boxes are way better.
