Idea for you guys to improve future award videos: 1. Tell us which cars are the Nominees 2. Why are they nominated (engine, ride, driving, practicality, fuel efficiency, looks, value etc) 3. Based on those set of measures, which car is the ultimate winner Appreciate the effort. Keep the reviews coming. Oh and more EV pls.
This category (Sedan) is going to be very interesting in the next couple of years. Mazda and Hyundai are improving massively but everyone knows Toyota's biggest strength, reliability. It's going to be very exciting to see how Toyota will improve on the next generation of Altis to rival the current Mazda 3 and the Elantra!
It will be more transparent and convincing if you shown how you guys rate each segment for Car of the Year. It's hard to believe that a Corolla is something that everyone is gonna buy when there are so many other choices and competition in the current market.
Agree. And i wonder why civic and mazda 3 is not in the shortlist when they are the direct competitors in this segment. They both have reliability, good drive and more modern designs.
@@eugene9370 the civic and Mazda 3 is good no doubt and in terms of driving the Mazda 3 and Altis is not much far apart in terms of driving dynamics while the Civic have wider choices of powertrain which have more power than either Mazda 3 or Altis but in term of comfort wise the Altis is way ahead of both but Mazda 3 have definitely higher level premium interior
Mazda 3 looks amazing both outside and inside, better than ‘good.’ Probably the rear middle seat ‘works out’ indeed for those who voted for the Altis. Idris though sound like he need some coffee or rest, unlike his usual energy level. Hope that everything’s fine.
You can't switch off the damn lane keep assist permanently in the avante, while you can in the altis. If you think this is not a big deal, try living with it for months on end. It is a freaking intrusive system.
Hi Andy! Good question. The Avante was launched in Singapore outside our consideration window. It will be considered for next year’s Car of the Year awards. - Jon
Their lighting have design flaws that are hazardous.. front signal indicators are too small and is unnoticeable when the bright drl over power it from far. Rear brake lights are also too small therefore it sometimes is not significant enough to warn rear vehicles. Go try to notice it, it is hazardous IMO 😂😂
