2020 Skoda Karoq Review - a new class-leading SUV? | What Car? 

Bought this car after a long test drive very comfortable quiet and smooth what really won me over against the opposition was the sheer quality when inside the car i can see why it's what cars best in class.

I have a karoq 2.0 diesel sportline in metallic orange. I absolutely love the car and this is my 4th Skoda. They are well built, strong and very reliable.

Had a Yeti 2 tdi on lease, replaced it with 1.6tdi Karoq DSG Technology version which is the best car I've ever had (also on 3 year lease). Used What Car's leasing information to find the best deal. Much better value than buying one. Fantastic car to drive, absolutely love it. Have got the blue colour which meant didn't have to pay extra for the other available colours. Haven't noticed much difference in acceleration compared with the larger engine Yeti.

Was between this and the Seat Ateca but sitting inside the Skoda feels like a whole different experience. I was very surprised at just how much higher quality the interior is compared to the Seat.

Very elegant car. The interiors are just so much better than they used to be.

It's not a review of the 2020 model!

We purchased the KAROQ 1.5L T/P 110TSI with DSG at the end of the 2020 financial year. BEST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE. We're getting on a bit and decided that we needed our 'forever' car and decided to push the boat out and get all the bells and whistles. Another great decision. Took it on s shortish road trip and removed the centre back seat and fitted a 26l car cooler perfectly between rear seats. Plugged into 12v outlet and kept all out supplies at 2 degrees in 35 degree days which went up to 50 degrees when not parked in the shade. The tinting works to keep the car cool but the front windscreen still adds to the temperature when parked with no shade. We decided not to get the Sport Line but did get the 19" wheels. Most underrated car on the market. We made a check list of 8 different vehicles to meet our needs (primary requirement was electric front seats with 2 or 3 driver positioning) and this has it, PLUS, PLUS, PLUS even down to a small plastic clip on the drivers side front windscreen that holds your parking ticket instead of just throwing it onto the dash!!!! It's the small things that count. The removable seats, auto park, lane assist etc. are fabulous. We set our front sensing at MAX which maintains about 20m of clear road allowing for those drivers who insist in ducking in between you and the vehicle in front without cause high blood pressure. As I say it's a brilliant and most underrated car.

Just ordered it with extra big 19 inch wheels and all in Black. After two months it will be delivered. Very Cheap choice! in comparison to the big (and expensive) brands like Honda, Mazda, Seat, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo and BMW.

Why is this 2 yr old review tagged as 2020?

Great car, great review, but in Australia the lack dealer support is what keeps the Skoda in the unknown class. I own an Octavia and speak from experience. (dead DSG at 50,000k)

This is a great review, I don’t really understand why everyone is making an issue out of the presenter’s perfectly nice English accent though. If she were from somewhere other than the South of England would people be quite so judgemental? She speaks clearly and explains everything really well.

Had a test drive in this car very impressed class above the rest comfortable and refined not the best looking but that's not important not the main reason you buy a car

great video, but I do think you ar a bit off on the real world fuel economy I noticed that elswhere the economy is way below what you quote at between 40 and 48 mpg and not over 50 as you quoted

The karog comes supplied with a umbrella because the sun roof leaks

1.0 TSI or 1.6 TDI are the engines to go for especially when it comes to reliability.

I've seen many English car tests, and so often on CARWOW, but god so childish host is on that channel! Besides, it is so much nicer to see and hear someone who knows what she is talking about!

What Car? : Not really....the Tucson 2015/2016 model is of higher class build quality and uber superior reliability that VW and has more litres of boot space, more leg room and is larger....all this while looking better.

Odd how car reviewers, male or female, speak with a certain intonation, with certain syllabes accentuated. I think Clarkson was probably the first to do this in the 1970s and unfortunately almost every car reviewer feels they have to copy that old dinosaur's manner of speaking. STOP IT!

Has this suv independent rear suspension? If not why not? No independent rear suspension means rock hard suspension every time you go over a speed ramp, speed bump, pothole etc.
