@@shoresharp8349 fluid technologies lake shore blvd. the charles perry co. NO time for that...maybe the old one in the winter if I have $300 more to spend.
@@shoresharp8349 yeah.....fluid tech is another place in Jax, if ya can believe it! Seen that myself. This was one day. Via Jax warehouse...supposedly.
I just bought a 2020 df30A. For my 15' Smoker craft Alaskn. I'm the same way I don't want any dings, scratches excetra. Going to have to get one of those covers. Just finished my break in. Love it. It's my first new outboard purchase.
Capt Dave... Here in Kennebunk Maine, we had 5 hours of snow flakes...got the garden beds covered and won't be planting before Memorial Day... Very dry winter up here and that usually leads to high heat index for the summer and drought for the farmers. Already had visit of two Tom's and one Hen turkey in backyard. New motor looks sharp...best wishes for lots of trips fishing for you...Cheers
@@DeepBlueChannelCom 1650....that's not what matters. Everyone thinks hours are everything and they are not!!! its where, and how. 99% OF REASONS to replace have zero to do with hours. And it was impeccably maintained. I have a entire playlist of maintenance. This one will be GONE in 3-4 years.
it was a long story.....and one I'm not going over it all here. Although a few want me to explain every detail cuz they be real "nosey".....hahaha And then call me a Jerk, (1960shakey) when I don't, write a book for them.
I'M READY TO GET BACK TO BUSINESS❗❗❗ I'M TIRED OF POLITICS, CHINA, VIRUS, TALK. LET'S TALK FISHING 📞📞 ON YOUR CHARTER DAY IN JACKSONVILLE FL. www.captdaves.com since 1996, and still going!
2006, and a lot. just like a car, start stop 20 times a day, like city miles!! so hours are NOT comparable. Had a 2-3 week fix issue. I cant do that, so I just got a new one. I have to run charters daily.
@@CaptDavesSportfishing I hear you. I have an '06 DF250 and it blew a headgasket a few weeks back with 900 hours. I purchased a used one with low hours and I'm parting out the '06. I was just curious to see how many hours you got out of yours. Funny thing about mine is it never overheated while I owned it. Looks very clean inside, but both heads were slightly warped. I woundn't say it's a common issue, but see a decent amount of folks posting online about similar problem with the 04-07 df250s.
never had good luck with my honda, had a factory blem. others do okay with them, BUT dont knoe about newest hondas, but when I went from honda to zuki, it was like going from a honda civic, to a sports car. it just felt that way to me. I had such a terrible experience, and know a guy who had his pacific built and delivered after me, here in NE Florida, I went thru 2 hondas (2nd one was a used Navy engine) and he was still running his original suzuki. Dont know if that means diddly, but thats how it was for me. Now, on my 2nd zuki. and in 4 years, this one will be gone. Im not keeping any of them more than 4 yrs. Im in the charter biz, and like as new as I can have, anymore. No matter what, dont get in a relationship with any of them if used hard. its a o/b in saltwater. I could go on and on. but wont. do your own research. Honda sure pissed on dealers, when they gave tohatsu motors to paint blue, and slap on tahatsu, on a honda 200-250, i believe. At least that what dealers told me. more market share, for them. that may have been lacking. ??
GOOD GAWD....that was 15yrs ago. was never a ''honda guy''....great small motors, didn't love the (2) I had. I do not have superior luck with any outboards. This is zuki #2.....and will be gone and sold in 4 years from now.
i dont do ""mods"". I would find a mobile fab guy. ive seen one driving up and down atlantic blvd. but never got his number. theres not many pacifics out there. especially nice ones like mine....👍👍👍
@@KevinJohansen5046 oh I thought ya meant structural stuff, like deck, and console. yeah, the guys that built my top are out of biz. Remember to check Scullys and Hankos.
see no evidence......me and Orowock, discussed the same thing. the extreme temps swings, have effected my steering in the past on other systems believe it or not. I've had a slow ''bleeding back'' issue with this helm for awhile. We'll see. I'm ''possibly'' thinking, they could have had the motor trimmed all the way up and turned the wheel, I know thats a lot of stress. BUT, ON FRIDAY..THERE WAS NO PROBLEM! Only on Saturday morning. Shit always seems to break in the drive-way over night, also.....the CROW did it!
@@CaptDavesSportfishing I'm with you on that....how in the heck does crap break sitting in the driveway......if there's a way it'll happen. Dang gremlins!
Hey Captain Dave does Suzuki still give you 6 yrs of warranty where your a commercial fishermen? I know up here commercial watermen get a hefty discount on outboard but they only give them 2 yrs of warranty.
@@CaptDavesSportfishing Probably too cheap to buy a Yamaha! LMAO! I ask you how many hours on your old Suzuki.... I waste my time watching you BITCH about your Suzuki for 20 Min and you give me shit for asking a simple question.... And you want NEW Viewers.... You're a real charm... Good luck!
I was only able to get into the 1.45 hours at 3K R/PM and had to pack up for the day. Can I finish my last stage of 4K R/PM in the morning like I had planned? Also for the most part I stayed at 3K for 1.45 hrs with maybe 10-15 minutes of reduced idle all together in that whole time, is this also ok? Thanks!
