Hey man...I am installing the same engine....and have a mini jacker plate that was rated up to 35HP.....and of course this motor is too wide and low as you discovered....THANK YOU!! for the solution! Going out to buy some thick aluminum tomorrow!
Great video…I’m waiting for my 25 to be delivered in the next few days…I didn’t see you hook up the battery connections. Did I miss it? Thanks, and again, great video.
There’s two leads provided, red and black/positive and negative. Nothing really to show there. The ends are terminated with eyelets to terminate to the battery. Enjoy the motor, it has been an awesome motor so far!
Hi Paul, thank you for showing these series they are super helpful. I purchased the 2020 DF25A also; but I haven't been able to find an after market drag link. Can you share from whom you bought yours?
I bought it off ebay and don't know what outboard it came from. Sorry can't help to much. I can measure it and that will get you in the ballpark, It won't be two weeks till I get my boat back. Let me know if you need that measurement.
Paul, your videos were super helpful in my install. I have the electric start model with controls - do you have any idea If these motors have an alternator or Do they have a stator? I’m curious because I want to buy a lithium battery. Thanks for any help you might be able to give
I have a lithium battery that I use, it doesn't hurt a thing. Make sure it's a good battery with over voltage and under voltage monitoring and you will be fine. I have had mine for a year now, no issues.
I think you skipped over the part where you installed the battery cables to the motor. I’m used to Yamahas and I’m having trouble identifying the connection points.
