It WOULD BE NICE if the 2020 TOYOTA 4-RUNNER HAD ALL THE SAFETY SYSTEMS FROM BASE TO TOP OF the LINE, or at LEAST SOME of THE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. 4RUNNERS ARE kind of STEEP.

Awesome mid size will probably purchase the TRD , have one question about the unit when you pan down under the front to show the shock set up on the front horn of the frame where the horn meets the front rail it looks like there is a big gap in between the rail and horn as it’s not welded along the seam? Otherwise a really sharp 4 Runner !

You see a lot of ppl go use these on road trips to the ski valleys in New Mexico and Colorado. They're great for the moutain roads that get icy and snowy

I think the Bronco is going to be too small. It’s more the size of a Wrangler unlimited.

That v8 got terrible mileage especially towing I had a buddy with one. The 4.0L V6 tows fine and gets better mpg. The 2022 TRD Pro 4runner is the last of the mohicans, they go to 4 cyl turbos next yr with dynamic force engines with lazer welded thin cylinder liners in the block and the valve seats in the heads will be welded seats, no press fit hard seats, no thanks. I am buying a 2022 trd pro as soon as I can get my hands on a white or mgm model at a decent price.

@@DriversOnly I thought it was the last 3 decades. LoL. My dad bought an 85 4Runner with all the options and then later traded it in for an 89 4Runner with all of the options. Still have the pics of it. I wish Toyota would have a removable top option. They would sell like hot cakes.

@@DriversOnly This was a popular feature in full size SUV's like the Chevy Blazer/Suburban, maybe others like the Bronco, and even a number of station wagons, etc. One problem they all had was controlling the descent of the glass down into the tailgate without problems... I had an 85 Blazer with this. Like pretty much every other one, the components would wear out and the glass would drag on the weatherstripping and end up with deep scratches all across where the weatherstrip rivets were. Technology has improved since those days, but those things were service calls waiting to happen and this would lower the quality ratings for the brands... That's my 2 cents anyway.

I had a 93 Limited V6 and now an 05 Limited V8 . The roll down back window (and the large sunroof) are my favorite features. I can't imagine having a car without the window. I use it to reduce wind noise when sunroof is open, Home Depot / Lowes runs for things that dont fit in the car so i have it hang out; surfboard, just about anything. Its so nice not having to strap things on the roof rack. The minute i start the car, the sunroof opens and the rear window gets a slight crack down. Another benefit of the rear roll down window is it allows for more cargo space. Too many of new SUVs have rounded rears which gives up so much space. The 4runner by far has the biggest cargo space in its class. I just wish they would update the headlights (LED) and the interior. To be honest, the interior still feels like my 05 interior. Glad they improved it for 2020, but the knobs and dash still look 10yrs old. I'm waiting for the complete redesign before i trade up.

I love the 2nd gen tailgate. I miss my 95 sr5, also owned a 91 sr5 xtra cab truck. Had to get rid of both, and got into a 99 2wd 4cyl 4runner. Wish I never did that, don't like the lift gate...

@@randylinn502 I feel you. My other car is a small hatchback and I dig the trunk opening style, but the tailgate is way cooler and practical, imo. These old Toyotas, just magical trucks.

@@Dilomski I loved my 2nd gen toys, but they lacked in power, even with the V6.

The rear sliding window was a feature on station wagons in the 1970's, and on the 1990's Ford Broncos. I have a 2016 4Runner SR5, and because of the rear sliding window, I was able to transport a full size refrigerator (58.5"H x 34.5" W) from AZ to NY without having to keep the tailgate partially open.

Most station wagons in the 60s and 70s had the ability to raise and lower the rear window. This is nothing new.
