@@jh5kl to the original comments credit. 40.000 euros for a 150psis ridiculous. keep in mind the Golf R starts at around 40.000 euros. Depending on your country of origin, the 150ps Golf starts at different prices. In Cyprus, this model starts at 21.900 euros. In Italy, i believe from 25.000 and above and Croatia 35.000. Its not 40.000 at all EU countries. Lastly, there are many cheaper cars for the same money, so it all depends on the imdividual. But a 150ps for 40.000?? Laughable

for that price before taxes I got a 375hp Dodge Charger a couple years ago...that goes 295g/CO2 per km and had better equipment lol. Anyway I feel that this is the way to make bank, clients will tend to lease instead of buying so they don't have to deal with the full cost, and after 3 yrs the car manufacturers gets his car back, pretty much untouched and with low miles. Only then the car will be "sold" for a reasonable price.

All you guys talking about price, I would say it has something to do with that 1st edition in the title. Golf 7.5 R-Line/Highline was 22k€. I would say it is a limited edition of let's say 1000 cars before the actual mass production. There's probably enough impatient VAG fans out there that they would have no problem selling these.

40tsd € für 1.5 tsi und SCHALTER? Wie viel kostet 2.0 TDI DSG ? 45-47tsd€? Preise sind einfach lächerlich. Für den preis kann man 3er 5er oder C -E klasse kaufen. GTI und R wird bestimmt über 50tsd € liegen :D

That retail 39k euros is ridiculous, I don't think anyone really pays that for it, would be really silly to do that. My 2019 VW Golf Allroad I've bought last month brand new, was $28k when retail (MSRP) was $36k and it has the panoramic sunroof, BiXenon headlights, parking sensors, DSG, 4motion etc.

Was sich die Leute teilweise freuen, dass sie für einen Golf 40.000 Euro bezahlen dürfen! Das für 2 Jahre Garantie! Dies sind dann auch diejenigen, die sich nachher beschweren das ab dem 4 Jahr die Karre auseinander fällt und VW keine Kulanz gibt, obwohl immer bei VW gewartet! Selber Schuld! Für 40.000 Euro gibt es andere Möglichkeiten.

In this new era where electric cars are slowly but surely dominating and overtaking the market, these new vehicles with old fashioned internal combustion engines are being priced higher than those who will run on renewable energies. It makes almost no sense whatsoever to do things this way. I mean, VW is undermining itself with those prices. One would think that cars would get cheaper with its mass production, but it seems to be going in the oposite direction because of its corporate greediness. Either way, those who enjoy paying the price and have excess of money can and will continue to buy things such as these regardless of the status quo, which is undeniably changing. And thus supporting this system.

Der Golf 8 mag ein gutes Auto sein, jedoch hat es für mich optisch nicht den "ich-will-haben"-Effekt. Auch der Preis ist für mich jenseits von gut und böse, aber dies ist meine ganz persönliche Meinung.

FPS value of this video is very low. camera and resolution quality is not worth very much due to low fps. I prefer 60 fps 1080p video to 4k resolution

I don't know about this shape, it looks like the new Toyota Corolla from the front with those lights. Just stop at the 7.5 please VW.

Espero que não apareçam brasileiros para esculhambar o produto, como fizeram com o cambio DSG do Golf MK7, falando bobagens sobre um tal barulho e sobre o freio elétrico. Isso levou a VW a lançar o carro com cambio convencional e freio mecânico. Eu que tenho o prazer de ser proprietário de um TSI Higline 2015, posso dizer que o carro satisfaz em todos os sentidos, desde sua presença, acabamento, conforto e performance. Penso que depois de duplo fracasso na produção do maravilhoso Golf no Brasil, a VW deve trazê-lo importado da Alemanha, como carro de nicho. O mercado brasileiro não tem perfil para tornar o Golf popular, como é na Europa, mas tem uma legião de fãs dispostos a comprá-lo.
