Super glad you were able to post this. I can't tell you how much fun it's been as a viewer to watch you fall in love with the game and put your heart into competing. You're great for the game, and I think you're winning over the disc golf community with your authenticity. Cheers!
I just came here to say it's cool to watch you grow into this sport, you're clearly obsessed like we all are, and you're respecting the sport and putting in the work to get better. You also proved to be a classier individual than certain commentators whose current rating is worse than both of your rounds and should probably not run their mouth ;)
For your first time playing this course in tournament mode with spectators and high winds, you did great! And you took the advice from a lot of pros you’ve practiced with “don’t take it too serious, it’s your first tournament so just have fun.” It was all smiles and fist pumps! One thing that really helped me when faced with those 25 ft putts is to stare down that inside pole from the start of your putt all the way to the release even while the disc is in the air. It really helped me stop thinking so much while putting like “okay hit the chains, don’t hit the band or the cage, there’s a hill behind the basket so draw metal, get it high but not too high.” I’m so stoked that you’ve taken an genuine interest in our great sport! Keep posting those videos! Since we don’t know when disc golf will be back!
what a great mix of players. Its fun to see what mistakes Brody makes and corrects and just to see how a person early in their career handles the tour. drew cause he bombs. paul cause he is paul. and kale cause no one is smoother and more pleasant to watch throw a disc than that man. great card. look forward to the back 9. i also love the vibe brody and paul have. i feel paul is so much more open and relaxed when he is around brody.
DGPT was milking it for paid subscriptions. Sorry, I ain't buying it. The irony was Brodie's statement that he wants to grow the sport, thus his reasoning and justification for being on the feature card... But, the video of the round was a pay per view.. Say what??? Grow someone's bank account, not the sport.... That's how I saw it....

Can't wait to see where you are at by the end of the year, you should do a comparison before and after with some of your shots for an end of year wrap up. Maybe go back to an old course you played.

Congrats on your first tournament I’m a little late just starting to learn disc golf lol. But I liked the way we were able to see you practice the course ahead of time and then see the tournament and tour adjustments
I don't know about you .....but I feel pretty damn good about being able to watch Paul,Cale,Drew and Brodie play DG whilst PMcB and Brodie do the commentary! Can't wait until we're on the other side of this MADness and back to DG as usual. Congrats to Brodie for a plenty respectable finish in his FIRST DG tournament ever (thats hard to believe he did so well.... 6 birdies??) and to Paul for a really solid 2nd place finish. I know he doesn't like finishing 2nd but .... 13 down on a tres windy day? There's no stopping that train. w/that being said ... congrats to Colten for an incredibly solid win.
Brodie! I remember my first putt, my first drive, first up shot from my first tournament. ... It was a C-Tier in MA2 and you did it on a world stage. Kudos man, thanks for all the content. Would love to see a video in the future with a forehand specialist talking about technique, etc.!
That tee shot on 7 was my favorite moment of the live coverage! You knew you laced it! The replay angle was cool too! Cardmates looked like they were having a blast! Keep it up Brodie!

This is the round I have been waiting to watch. I predicted a round rating of 950 for you, so I was very pleasantly surprised by your performance. Good work, Brodie. Now, get that plant foot perpendicular to the Line Of Play. Planting with an open front foot eliminates the hips from the throwing motion, and robs a huge amount of power. Paul will explain!

I can’t wait to see the back9, but first I need to make a quick comment: “All of you people that are hating on Brodie Smith need to stop!” This guy is an excellent athlete and deserves a chance to play just like anyone else... please keep in mind that our objective as a Disc Golf community is to “Grow The Sport” and Brodie is doing just that. -end of rant- David Turk Jr. 😁✌️
Brodie this is saying a lot....I’m from KC and I think you can be the “Mahomes” of the Disc Golf world. You are going to be so entertaining to watch in the upcoming years. I play a lot and I’m pretty good but what’s more impressive is when I tomahawk a putter 45 ft for a birdie lol. And you know that for every one trick shot you make there were thousand missed before haha.
Not gonna lie, always followed you from the beggining. But honestly felt you were handed a spot on that tournament that millions work for each year and never get the oppurtunity and never get allowed to play with those "top dogs" but also i see guys daily that would drag these pros and give em a hell of a run for their money on super ridiculous courses . Regardless i respect the love and respect you show the game and would love to meet you in person sometime if youre ever in NC and wanna play a few rounds brother 👍
