IMO, the protests and riots for one year (from July 2019 to June 2020) was a blessing in disguise in the sense that HKSAR was undergoing a process of self-purification "to distinguish and separate" the residents who abide by the Basic Law from the other residents who are anti-Chinese and who refuse to abide by the Basic Law. Any resident (of HKSAR) who abides by the Basic Law is eligible to stand for election .... but any resident who is anti-Chinese and refuses to abide by the Basic Law will be DQ! I hope, during the rest of 27 years before Yr 2047, the elected legislators would address, debate and resolve many of the political & social issues & to encourage more economic developments so as to improve the living conditions and the welfare of the residents. And if the "1C2S" (where Hongkongers, themselves can govern Hongkong well), then, I hope the Central Government may consider to extend the "1C2S" in HKSAR for another 50 years after Yr 2047. 🇨🇳🇭🇰👍👍🙏🙏
