I’m not sure if you watch a lot of sixers games but his play calling is terrible, everyone always looks confused and never knows their roles, his line ups he puts together are horrible, and he can’t keep a lead. He literally gets out coached all the time then gets attitudes and deflects when called out

We had mental toughness but this GM took everything away….Instead of adding players like Hield and Haliburton and keeping Drummond and Curry coming off the bench ,we could’ve gone a long way in the playoffs.
Some of yall are so ignorant and lacking in the understanding of the dynamics. If you think this team could win this year with a weak bench and then on top of that Joel suffered multiple impactful injuries. The trade in Feb needed time to gel because the team chemistry on floor was tweeked. Losing Danny was a big blow in game 6 and without his scoring a higher load was placed on a depleted bench and 2 injured all time greats. Maxey is a 2nd year player you can't expect him to fuel us past the deepest and strongest defensive team in the East. Stop bashing Doc and be supportive of this organization, he's a HoF coach for goodness sake. This team still has pieces we need to get that ring we all want. Some of yall bashing Joel for being hurt when if he didn't play aggressive he wouldn't be who he is which is the best player on the planet. Right now sixers front office has to be in the clock. We might have to package Maxy and James will have to take a cut we need to cover our backend our bench needs at least two stretch forwards I think Philly needs more length and strength to really open the floor for Joel and harden. Rebounding and nice length players with a fucking vertical and a 38-40% catch and shoot percentage we would take this team to the chip at least twice even if we met the warriors last. They are two small for us and curry can't guard rose till this day I might add. We will see what Philly is willing to do. Maxy is my guy but he has value to be moved harden and embid need solid vets and size right now. Rebounding and rim protection. Harden will be back in shape so the speed won't be much of a lost for our fast break. We have the best chance at having the best off season.
@@losjugg441 trading maxey is a non-starter. it wont happen. the problem with rebounding is we spread the floor far too much on offense so our PF is typically in the corner, its not like Tobias can't rebound its just where he is positioned. Trading Maxey would be a stupid move because then you still need to find 1)a starting 1/2 guard and 2)depth, which is where we are sorely lacking.
Facts Philly fans are so toxic. They hate Doc they hate Morey they hate Harden. The big 3 of Harden Embiid Maxey CAN 100% win a ring with good role players around them. Hell Tobias could be on the team he’s an amazing 4th option and played great defense in the playoffs. The problem is we had the statistically WORST bench in the league (no team in NBA history has won a ring w the worst bench in the league) and role players. Defense and 3pt shooting. Ring. Before the Washington Nationals of the MLB won their World Series in 2019, they were notorious for losing in the second round of the MLB playoffs. They did it all the time. Just like now with Sixers but we do it worse at this point. I used to say the Sixers were the Nationals of the NBA. I’m starting to think the Nationals were the Sixers of the MLB for a bit.
Next year I would go with Reed & Bassey as the back-up Center. Then they focus on a new Small Forward Starter & the bench at Guard/Wing/Forward & maybe trade Tobias
I also agree d rose brings this team pace pacing and vet playoff iq. Rose never backs down but keeps his head down and plays till its over. He can take the last shot and if he is on a balanced team like Philly they will win. I see them getting a chip. Give them some length on the bench maybe a hustle rebounder and that has a good put back or mid jumper and you run the game through a in shape James and Embid I don't see a team that can stop them. Thybul needs to take 25k threes this off season from all spots and bias needs to work on his vertical and dunk let's go. James and D rose both have that jerky move rythem and teams won't be able to handle that swag. But that's if James can get some of his speed back this off season. Philly deserves a dynasty. Maxy can hit the Jimmy but rose can create from more spots than just the three and he knows how to get to his spot because he still has his crossover and speed. I’m a Laker but if I ran the 76ers I would change coaches it can’t work. Then I would have mike dantoni offense around Joel not harden. Have harden be in shape and ready for 40 min games. Trade Harris and make this team a offensive power house. Maxy Embied Harden strengths are their offensive skills, give them a bench like Memphis/Dallas/Miami and a coach that knows his offensive and this team is right there

It's not puzzling. We saw it since Harden got there and before. When Embiid was out of the lineup we are barely a playoff team. Largely because of our lack of depth. Really, we declined dramatically when just one main player is out of the rotation.

@@kaysheye7784 all that may be true, but let's not forget that Embiid missed the first 2 games and he was really banged up. Second, we knew that in order for us to be successful Embiid would need to play at MVP level and all the starters would have to be close to best version of themselves because we lacked depth. Finally, let's remember what the Sixers expectations were at the beginning of the season when we knew Simmons wasn't coming back. I thought our talent in the starting lineup was good enough to beat any team and get to the finals, but I knew we had a small margin for error, and Embiid getting his face broken was a big margin. And in the last two games, our bench super sucked coupled with terrible play from starters. In the end I'm mad about the effort in the last 2 games, and harden becoming Simmons last night, but I still believe a core of Embiid, Maxey, and Harden is great so long as Maxey becomes more of the focal point on offense. I'm with you that I don't like Rivers much, with a better roster I expect better results.
@@chimaebinama3192 the initial expectations are all true but eventually the deeper you get it into the playoffs, coaching will matter more and more. I trust Morey to make the right moves but for instance, I’m worried about our backcourt defense if we keep both Harden and Maxey since neither is an average level defender at guard position. Players have also noted a “lack of toughness” in the Game 6 postgame comments which is rather concerning and sounds like the coach can’t even influence them to play motivated. Not blaming Doc for everything but if our players including Embiid that are 28 years old and above aren’t even motivated to perform on the biggest stage then what really is Doc still doing here?
@@kaysheye7784 I'm not super worried about our backcourt defense. I think Maxey will work to become a better defender. He's small so he will be targeted. I actually don't think Harden was that bad of a defender. Teams didn't really target him that much. I noticed his defense seems to tail off towards the end of games, especially if we aren't playing well and losing. But I think it really matters the surrounding pieces. Almost every team has a guy you can target on offense. But we shall see. I still like the core of Embiid, Maxey, and Harden.

@@LifeIsBrief yes I love maxey but we could get so much in return for him if the from office knows how to do it. We don't need that many scorers we need players who will get the bucket rounding and defense. If we can package him and load our bench and fill those areas and get rose. It's worth it. I love the kid but his career is not over. We want a ring we have to see how we can trade up from him where a deal will give us more in return than we lose in him. We have money and options James will take a pay cut for a ring. Maybe a two year contract then if we win we max him out again. I love maxey but we can fill his shoes and get better return to fill slots we are heavily missing on shoot we might even get some picks.
Rivers is bad but the organization made a ton of bad decisions in the last couple years. Terrible number 1 picks, paying Tobias Harris a max deal, getting rid of Jimmy butler, trading mykelle bridges for some guy flipping burgers right now the list goes on and on

Doc doesn't develop young players so as long as he is the coach the sixers will be unathletic as he plays the old players that are way past their prime.
Harden should thank Chris Paul and Devin Booker who just saved Harden’s career by playing even WORSE than Harden in their Suns/Mavs game 7. Booker and Paul made Harden look good.

Well. I think sixers need to have a better coach and to train Harden to be more aggressive. He need to improve his field goal and 3pts goal. The bench are the most important. See that in the games, when Doc puts out the bench players to play the game, they almost been beaten by the opponents and lose the game finally.
