Good informative video, only thing I suggest is a wireless mic so we can hear you guys better 🤙 Also to keep people watching the video longer, cut any second where there isn’t talking or something that is going on, I do that with my brothers videos
Awesome to see a real world comparison of these two machines. Each has benefits and draw backs, which are few as the Rotax power is so darn fun. The Renegade is the premium model and carries a hefty price tag, main difference being shock package, skid plates and snorkel system, BUT the wow factor of the 1000 in a short frame is unreal.
We were really surprised how close they really are. Absolutely no regrets with either. In a couple years, I'm hoping to upgrade to a renegade, we will see how it goes.
@@dnksdad the other real differences between the two will be in different climbing situations. At the ATV Park the Max chassis struggles mightily on the 28ish tires. But seriously an 850 with clutches, foowells, tires and tune will perform outstanding for the $$ amount of a Renegade. Just wait...
Ive been told go 1k if you wanna go 2up (although ive seen people 2up on even Rennys) besides the $, or whats in stock, get what looks cooler to you. I like the 1k, has somewhat of a truck silhouette/stance.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the great comparison. I last had a 2019 Maverick Sport XMR and the stiff ride drove me nuts. I'm concerned the Outlander will be the same.
The xmr outlanders are definitely stiff, but the newer models are much better than say a 2018 model. I backed my springs off an inch and it made it ride nice and plush. I actually ended up stiffening it back up once shocks broke in as I found myself bottoming once in a while. If you want super soft and plush a recommend an xt. My wife's xt is like riding on a cloud.
@@dnksdad I was thinking Max XTP, as they're pretty much the same price, but I think it's easier to put a 2 up seat, and upgraded coilovers on an XMR then it is to put the rad relocate, on the XTP. Good to know that backing off the preload made such a big difference!
I watched this video and bought a like new 21 850XMR the next day. I'd rather drive alone and hardly ever have a guest that really wants to ride on the same machine. In regards to tracking I have always found longer vehicles like long bed Tacoma handled and tracked better at high speed off roading. The same goes for ATV's in my opinion. I agree 100% renegade does Not fit my needs. It doesn't have the rad relocated and also the outlander has a rack for mounting lights etc. The 850 shorter wheel base is more fun and nimble on trails. The can ams are already very heavy so after owning a 16 outlander 1000 I said to self never getting a two up. My experience and thoughts!
I’ve got 2000 miles of hard mud riding in MN with my 2022 Renegade xmr with no rad relocate and it is perfectly clean still lol.. it has a removable plastic piece and it’s simple to wash with a hose. Not sure why everyone lives the red relocates. They are ugly af lol. Just clean your machine and take care of it and rad will never plug up.
My brother bought a 2021 outlander 1000Xmr, I bought a 2021 outlander 650 Xmr, I absolutely love mine, my bro wishes he bought the 850 cause the 1000 is basically like driving a hellcat, yeah it's fast but it's she's a hefty beast. Has the ECU on your bikes been tuned locally? I'm from Sudbury and I don't want to send my ECU down south....
We're running a dynojet pv3 with motorsports addicts tune. You can buy it directly from them or buy one at revco and but the tune from addicts for 100 bucks .
@@dnksdad yeah, I’ve got a 21 850 want to tune it. I have a mbrp pipe on it and man they run hot. Did you notice better fuel mileage with the tune? My bike is thirsty and gas ain’t cheap in Ontario lol.
I can't find this anywhere. Honestly. ridden like you stole it half the time and good maintenance how many kms can these last before it can't drive Planning a big trip and want somthing fun. Hondas imo don't make fun atv
That’s crazy, really didn’t know y’all were from Canada doing the video. That’s a lot a money to spend on a recreational toy. That’s what we call them anyway. I’m getting to purchase a 850. List price $10999.
The name of the company is Friendly Honda in Baton Rouge La. But I have to tell you, all the extra cost that’s added to the original price is crazy. They are starting to charge unboxing fee, delivery fee, and then you have to pay your tax, title, license. So now your out door price is around $14,500 - $15,000 depending on tax rate. Since Covid everything is high and hard to get.
Well after watching I came up with the conclusion ! A Small cup of Starbucks Coffee is the same size as Their Large cup of Coffee ! You just pay more for their Trick Cup !
