The 2021 Year of Trains in Review is finally here and what a year it was! Amtrak, Coaster, Caltrain, Metrolink, Sounder, BNSF, Union Pacific, steam locomotives and more! For the Q&A: 1. In all your years of railfanning/making videos on RU-vid, is there anything you would've done differently? 2. In your opinion, what are the best spots to view trains from in San Diego County? 3. When chasing trains, how do you ensure you aren't accidentally tresspassing on other people's property when seting up at a location? (More specifically, when dealing with private grade crossing signs)

Pretty good video, I hope to see more steam locomotives in operation. I would hope to come back to Colorado for the train rides there in summer of 2022. I would also like to see other trains too. Have a good Happy New Years.

Nice Video Mike! My favorite catch By far was Seeing My first NS heritage unit 1071 and it was the first one to vist NorCal in over 2 years so that made it even more of a treat. Here’s to a Great 2022!

Tbh i think 2019 and this year 2022 were the best! The thing is, i like 2019 better because i used to play lots of my favorite games and started learning about us commuter rail, it intrigued me and i loved it, thanks coaster!

I'm new here. When I was a child, 1972(?) and saw a GG1 it scared the daylights outta me. It looked like some kind of evil cyclops monster and that horn only made it creepier. Cheers from Oshawa Canada

I have a couple questions I’d like to ask for the Q&A if that’s okay: 1: Do you think you’ll get to film Santa Fe 3751 or 2926 when they start running, hopefully this year? 2: Do you miss living in San Diego? Amtrak should really have a phase 3 heritage p42dc for 50th anniversary which had the variance that were introduced when the p40 DC was released with that Amtrak deep red and Amtrak deep blue colors. They should do the inner city variant of those and then the Northeast corridor one as well

Shouldn't Amtrak repaint their phase 4 and phase 2 heritage p42dc locomotives from 40th anniversary heritage into 50th anniversary heritage since Amtrak is 50 years old

Yes they do mostly on their cross country trains like the California Zephyr, Southwest Chief etc. The ALC-42 are expected to start revenue service for Amtrak sometime this year.

Great video of the trains of 2021 on the West Coast & in the Colorado Rockies. I enjoyed watching Amtrak on my favorite route, the BNSF freights which BNSF is my favorite railroad.
