Today I drive and review a 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti! Alfa Romeo Inventory: www.alfaromeos... Help Support The Channel: www.patreon.co... Second Channel: / @thebenhardyshow Instagram: ben_hardypl Facebook: @benhardycar
The Stelvio is always seen as a sporty driving machine not only because of its looks, but because it really drives better than most cars (SUVs or else). But what most people don't know is that it actually also offers a quiet and comfy ride. Better than a Q5 for example. Alfa Romeo upgraded the interiors and noise isolation for all models since the 2020.
Good solid review, thanks! I can say you covered the car well since I own a 2020 Stelvio. I test drove the Audi, BMW and Mercedes competitors and there is frankly, no comparison. This is a drivers car built on a sedan chassis. The others drive more like trucks. You got a hint of the car's potential driving around the city, but take it on a country road. It puts a smile on your face! I'm surprised that the infotainment system wasn't touch screen. I thought that became standard in the 2020 line up. You can also turn off the infotainment system, which I find liberating--you can focus on the car and not the computer. I'm so happy not to have a huge tablet sticking out of my dash. My one gripe is the auto start-stop function that turns off the car when you come to a stop. There's an over-ride switch but it resets to on when the vehicle's turned off. I wish the start-stop could be permanently disable since its dangerous (not to have the car on when you think it is and want to accelerate) and hard on the battery and overall electrical system. Other then that, it's by far the best car I've ever owned.
Yes they do. I just my Stelvio TI it is touchscreen although it is a bit leggy. Better to use the control buttons. With controls very super fast responding
remind to the people .... ferrari alfa romeo maserati and lancia they used to be only racing cars till one day they made cars for the roads..... that's why when you drove those cars you feel amazing !
I came from a 2014 Audi Q5 TDI to a 2021 Stelvio Sport TI and NEVER had a regret. The handling on the Stelvio is over the top insane. The design and materiels selection are on par with any hi-line machine currently on the market.
The 2.0 liter is a sleeper SUV. With tuning, it's actually on par with the Macan S for less money, and has a more involving driving experience. Also, it really has all the creature comforts a DRIVER needs.
This 2.0 liter is already faster than all the other 2.0 liter SUVs from Audi, Merc, BMW, Volvo, Porsche, VW, etc. Not only because it delivers more power and torque, but also because the car is lighter with a carbon driving shaft and all the aluminum. It's even better than all the others on corners because of the excellent weight distribution coupled with a great double wishbone front suspension and a patent multi-link aluminum suspension at the rear.
Me too, but even more than that, I love the way it drives, not only in terms of comfort and riding noise, but mainly because the dynamics is capable of. It's an SUV that drives better than most non SUV vehicles!
The brakes need some get used to it because they're "fly-by-wire" like the gas pedal. It's more the position of the pedal and not the pressure applied that determines the brake force to be applied.
I was test driving one a while ago and the laggy touchscreen really put me off, also a very strong reflection on the screen. In a not sunny day at some points I couldn't see the map or text at all.
@Vic Rolmann if you are worried about reliability and maintenance costs on an Alfa then you couldn’t even afford it at the first place Toyota fanboy, life is to boring too worship Toyota and promote “reLiaBilItY”,Alfa is for driving pleasure something most Toyota fanboys overlook
Did Alfa Romeo address Electrical issues that this model was having?..I was looking to buy the Stelvio TI Sport that is the ONLY thing that stopped me. Reading the reviews from Car and Driver & Consumer Reports on the Electrical issues. its a beautiful car though. ❤❤🔥🔥🔥
@@roarpal6314 YEPPIEEEEE....I did read yesterday that if you purchase a 2020 or 21 you should be fine. That's great News I had started looking at the BMW X3-X4.
Based on my ownership experience, the vehicle quality is excellent, and of course the drivability is amazing, without sacrificing comfort. However, at least in my opinion, the dealer service departments need to be improved, this based on experience with more than one dealer.
2.0 litre 4 cyl. 🥱. It seems like so many cars now have the same engine. You lost me after you said which engine it came with. Nothing else much mattered.
It may have a 2 liter, but it's quicker and has more horse power and torque than any other 2 liter in its class. If what turns you off is that it's 2 liter, you're missing out on a very performance sedan feeling performance SUV.
I just traded in a Cadillac with a 3.6 V6, and the Stelvio's little 2L puts out more torque. (306 lb-ft). Not as much top speed as the Cadillac but I don't do much 100-mph driving where I live. (Very hilly). The Stelvio is much much quicker off the line, passing, and merging, even with the smaller engine. Lighter body weight and turbo help make up the difference
I drove the 4C the other day. What a nice driving car. I mean it's still a gigantic overpriced prine to break thing, but it did drive very smooth and had nice smooth pick up. Wasn't too fast, wasn't too slow. But honestly it reminded me of driving the new Maxima. I'm sure Alfa purists will balk at that statement, but those people probably haven't driven a new Maxima. I wanted to drive the Quadrofangolotangoformaggio but they didn't have one of those available. We drove the Stelvio too and for that my step-father only would test drive the Quadro version and they only had a 2019 version. Then we went to Aston-Martin and looked at the DBX and he liked that a lot, but we couldn't drive that one and they only had one. These look nice, but to me they weren't that different than driving a GLS or X5 except less stuff. They drive slow anyway, so a 4 banger turbo is fine for them.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 the Maxima had more horsepower, being a V6. The 4C was nice and well appointed, but so was the Maxima. To say they have noting in common isn't really fair. I mean, until you go drive the new Maxima and then go drive the 4C, you can't really compare the two. I've driven both so I can make that comparison. But ultimately, it's my opinion. Mine. It's ok if mine is different than yours.
@@clifbradley Do you even know what the 4C is? I think you have the wrong car in your head. The 4C is a raw two-seater sports car with barely any creature comforts. It is anything but well appointed.
