Good review, and you seemed to cover the entire the Q5 lineup, but no mention of the plug in hybrid. Was it not available at time of review or just not available in the US?
This is a very helpful review, thank you! You got my subscription 🙂 And to answer your question, I would *probably* get the SQ5 over the competition, though I might just go with a regular X5 and get only slightly less straight-line performance.
I own a 2020 Sq5. I'm very pleased with the driving performance but not happy with the ownership experience. Although AUDI markets the brand as luxury, the service level is more VW than BMW.(which I also own). The navigation system was out of date the day I drove home. AUDI will not update under warranty and want $300 to update. Dealer provided Lyft ride home and return when I left car for service. BMW provided a loaner. So the $64,000 question is - would I buy an AUDI again? Not if I could find a BMW!
Actually it is. If you spec out the lower Premium Plus package which is middle of the line you dont get the Audio package, navigation, dual pane front glass, OLED lights, heads up display. The difference between the two is roughly 4k. 1 OLED light by itself is something like 1.5k. If you take all the extras into the account it is well worth it and costs way more than the 4k extra. But to each their own. I would rather have those options for a bit more money.
