I have a 2020 Avalon XLE this 2021 Avalon Hybrid looks nice but I'm not too crazy with this Bright Red color they should leave this particular color for the Fire Department this color belongs to them.
While I get your kick with the wireless charging pad, Toyota is about safety, and expects people to leave the phone alone while driving. You have all your phone features connected via CarPlay anyway.
Thats what I just asked my wife. We're looking at both cars and everything I read suggests they're almost identical mechanically. Major difference for me is I prefer the interior of the Avalon but the "luxury" status of the Lexus. Avalon is also $5k cheaper roughly. What to do?!?!
@@jond2020 Avalon is the best value over the long run of the two. With the Lexus, you are literally paying extra for a badge. I think most Lexus vehicles are a gimmick.
@@juliawhite7152 Yep!! Went with the Lexus. Spent time in both and while similar, the craftsmanship and quality of the Lexus did it for me. It just felt more "solid". Both are great cars so it's sheer preference.
I bought one about 2 months ago. There are a few things that I think Toyota swung and missed on this vehicle that bother me but might not bother someone else. The center console is big big but the arm rest is so long that when I open it I find it annoying to get my arm up and over to get into the compartment. I would have preferred to see the arm rest flip open to the side. The seats make it feel like I am sitting up too high even with it all the way down. I also hate the head rest. I know it’s a safety thing but it bothers the hell out of me. It would have been a nice addition to be able to adjust the volume on the parking assist instead of just “on or mute.”
