DHP is an impressive technology. If you drive one with for a few days on different roads you'll hate anything without it. The active roll stailization makes the car ride great. Stiff sway bars harm ride, ARS bars disconnect the two sides so wheels are truly independent until steering input and body motion result in sway bars engaging. In a hard corner the sway bar actuator twists the bar to hold body near level and keep all wheels planted.
I just bought one in Phytonic blue and cognac leather. It's an amazingly comfortable and very fast machine when you push it. I love the Android Auto integration with wireless charging. I'm getting down to one car and this is it!
@@Joshua102888 Gas mileage is not good in the city, around 16 mpg, however, gas mileage is decent on the highway at around 23 mpg. No issues with reliability. The 4.4L V8 is incredible. Cheers--
I ordered one of these X5 M50i's two weeks ago, went for Arctic Grey (may change to Tanzanite Blue II) - with carbon interior , Bowers Wilkins upgrade, shadowline exterior (grill etc) and a few other bits. Can you believe it won't be arriving with w/less charging as they've run out of chips LOL.
@@NastyNate2306 my previous 2 X5's (M Sport 30D/40D) both had the HK stereo setup and they were great. I like the BW but I'm not sure its worth the $$$ as its a huge cost for only a slight increase in performance over the HK, but the lighting looks top notch (not that I get to admire that much as I'm always driving).
How do you know if your X5 got the dynamic handling package? I forgot what packages there was but my M50i has sport suspension not sure if that’s the same
You probably know what you have , by now. The dynamic handling was a separate option pkg. Anyhow...if your back wheels are " steering " out or in , as you turn your fronts...well then...you have it. Btw... I have a 2022 X5 M50i....no Dynamic Handling option. Hope you're enjoying your car !
Maybe it's just me, but a glass gear selector is the complete opposite of what you'd expect in a sporty vehicle. Why not a crystal chandelier hanging from the rear view mirror too?
Here's WHY I hate the dual rear gate---when you have 6 bags of groceries (yes, it would be my daily driver) its a real pain in the ass as you put down the lower gate to try and reach in and put all of them in the rear end cargo area. Think about how inconvenient that really is or option 2 you have to lift the bags over the bottom rear gate so you can accidentally bump the rear gate and put a bunch of scratches on it. Either way you go its a true pain in the butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After a gaggle of one piece gates and stuff rolling out onto the ground, I love my X5's lower gate. I'm 6 ft so I never have issues with dragging things on the lower gate.
You probably had old ass bmws 2015 and on bmw started making amazing robust cars ive had 4 of them since 2015 currently have a 2024 x5m comp and i love it
Has anyone compared a model with the Dynamic Handling Package vs. one without? Realized weeks after ordering that they don't seem to offer it in Canada now :/ Maybe supply issues?
@@michaelwilliams1354 I features on this car are more gimmicky thn useful, hand motions to skip the songs is terrible cause I talk with my hands and it’s always skipping songs when I don’t want it 2, the cruise control is decent but still not great, the quickness isn’t thr either compared to the older bmws
@@arunarora6643 you can turn the gesture features off or adjust so you need to stick with american cars if you dont want to learn the tech. This is also the quickest non “m” bmw suv and quicker than the previous “m” version. Not sure what ur going on about
@@radioactivification why would I pay extra for the features to just turn them off? I have had American and German cars my whole life, American cars have the same amount of tech Germans do.
@@arunarora6643 we can agree to disagree, i had a dodge (‘17 durango) and a cpl of fords and none compare to the power, luxury, refinement, fit and finish. My 5500lb m50i is as quick as a charger and 5.0 - yet i can tow my 6500lb camper. To each his own - id give your bmw another chance
90% of these features are the same shit from models like 4-5 years ago. Oh heads-up-display yeah that's been around for years. Its a cool car but not seeing much innovation lately from BMW. They can't even build a fully electric X5 instead they offer some bs hybrid.
Maybe if the infrastructure to support electric cars was there and the demand for electric cars was higher, they would build them. You don't think a billion dollar company, such as BMW, knows what their customers want? I know that if I wanted to jump in my gas powered BMW and drive to anywhere, at anytime, all it would take is me jumping in the car and going, without having to figure out where I need to stop to charge up, my "oh I'm so special", electric car. Just because they haven't built one, doesn't mean they can't, it just doesn't make sense for them to do so.
