This and the Rocky Mountain instinct marathon build are like the perfect bikes for any marathon XC race like bcbr or downieville. That limited time nukeproof reactor build would b great too.
Seafarer Scott makes bikes that just work, are light, and reliable. Cannondale spends all their time on making a bike that is overly complicated. It might look cooler. But does it? Wouldn’t it be cooler to ride a bike that world champions ride?
Lighter? To be this weight you'll need to add some 1500€ to the price. You can buy this one for 31000-3500€. In Scott, for the same price range you buy a bike at least 1,5kg heavier.
Lmao the glue used for Pole is industrial made for that, those frames will keep stick together even when your grandkids die old, planes are glued too, and we fly no worries

Nice bike, but good luck if you need support from Cannondale. Have been riding Cannondales since 1999. Now have a 2018 Scalpel Carbon 3. Rear hub failed in March. Have been trying to get parts support from Cannondale since. No response, and when they did response the information was wrong. Sad state of once iconic US bike company.

The flex pivots don’t lockout unfortunately so it’s got a bouncy rear end like the 2002 Scalpel, great for a trail bike, too flexy for an XC race machine tho.
Cool race bike! It's like the current epic, fake four bar linkage with a flex stay. Compromised suspension for the sake of a light weight frame, definitely should not be referred to as down country in any way. Geo numbers are the same as the Scott spark that came out 4 years ago. 🥱
I love and hate cannondale’s gimmicks. It’s really cool to think about and try to feel the differences that something like my Gemini shock thingy makes, but it causes risk. These flex thingies look pretty neat, but I wonder if that will be the case in a few years.
I know carbon fiber is super strong, but in my mind I just see someone taking that bike off of a big drop or jump and that flex zone just snaps into a million pieces all over the trail.
I have three different left bikes never a problem with either of them.I also learned to maintain my lefty forks .advise if u own or plan to own a lefty u should learn to maintence your lefty fork.as well as ur whole bike..too many yahoos by a lefty bike all bx it looks cool but don't learn diddly about what their buying note: take care of ur bike it will take care of you.Good Luck
The QR thru axle idea just pisses me off. While AI and flex pivot seem like unnecessary bs. They must have hired some of Trek's engineers. "People that chose this bike also purchased Wavecell helmets."
Cannondale continues to use way too much weird proprietary crap that's a pain to replace and doesn't work as well as standard stuff. Also, for the love of God, ditch the PF30. It's literally the worst bottom bracket on the planet. No thanks.
Lifetime warrenty on the frame, same as GT. They're actually the same company, and this design is a bit of a crossover from their respective 2020 gravel bikes that both have flexible rear triangles

@@simonmeistininkas1399 I'm guessing you've read up on that but my argument with cannondale works be (in the case of a rear triangle failure) would be that in this instance it's all part of the same frame rather than 2 seperate parts.
If a bigger xc bike is a downcountry bike, does a light trail bike is a downcountry bike ? Does a big trail bike is a light enduro bike ? I'm wondering if a big enduro bike is a light freeride bike. Please stop with these new trendy mtb terms.
