Love everything about the new Trailblazer... except for the engine! Chevy's 4 cylinder turbo would have been a good choice for this little suv.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I love the Blazer and want to get my wife one, thought this may be a cheaper alternative but that engine is discouraging. I have the 2.8L diesel in my Colorado and wouldn't mind that with the 6 speed as an option on the trailblazer.

Alot of power for a 1.3 three cylinder. 155 hp.174 torque. Just as much as the 1.4 4 cylinder..ilike

Actually starting to like this , they should’ve used the 1.4L LE2 . It might replace my Gen2 Cruze when it’s time.

i thought it was going to have a 2.0 non turbo. But a 3 cyl? I think there will be reliability problems with that engine.

Dear followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service, the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.

It's underpowered and you don't even get good gas mileage as a trade-off. Sounds pretty... Amazing to me.💩

The base powertrain with cvt just isn’t nearly robust enough for a vehicle that size. If they really wanted to prioritize fuel economy they should have just made it a hybrid which would have at least added some torque. All this plus gm quality scares me far away.

The gas mileage should have been WAY better with a turbo 3. Seriously, I was shocked to hear it was a 3cyl. Then those MPG numbers with a CVT, which is literally for max gas mileage.. less than 30 average?!? It's a lifted Hatchback!! A turbo 3 from a Japanese or Korean brand would net you AT LEAST 35mpg average. Why does Chevy suck so much ass?

Longevity with 3 cyl + CVT? My kids' 2010 Corolla has 180,000, 2006 Civic 210,000. Had a 1995 Tercel go to 330,000.

@@JN-mk2fh In 2017 the Tucson DCT was updated. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson DCT was problematic. I have been driving my 2017 Tucson with spirt for 40K miles without issue. Friends of mine who own 2016 Tucson's that had the transmission replaced under warranty are happy with the updated unit. I intend to buy a 2022 Tucson next year. I change my car every 4 to 5 years.

Duel clutch was garbage. I was afraid I would die in my 2017 Tuscan After four years had to get rid of it. I’ve got a deposit on my trailblazer rs. 6/8 week wait. 9 speed no garbage this time

Sad commentary that this is the best GM has to offer in the mainstream sub-compact SUV segment. Stacked up against the HRV there's no contest. Not to mention the Mazda CX-30 and to an even greater degree the KIA Seltos.

As a proud owner of a 2007 Trailblazer SS and a 2001 Blazer ZR2, thing is a huge disappointment. Crossover ugly looks, weak engine and bland interior. Only thing that it has is a nice tech package, but most of the newer vehicles have cool tech nowadays...the new Blazer and Trailblazer are shells of what they used to be.

I agree, I had to laugh at a 3 cylinder, lol. I have a 2009 LT. I had an 2001 Blazer with the Trailblazer trim package, loved that truck, but replaced it with the 2009 due to rust.

Engineers messed this one up big time . They aught to be FIRDED.. what where they thinking.... this won't blaze the trail.. it's for women with less than 500 hours on the wheel and rarely go above 50mph..not to mention being on the freeways...this will be a great disappointment in sales for chevy... this review should not have been done.. a great disappointment...big one.

I'm not saying this vehicle is powerful, but turbo-charged engines lose very little power at elevation. It's naturally-aspirated engines that lose power.
