Great review man! Lots of detail on both cars. Probably one of the best I've seen. I think you should totally get it! But I'm known to tell people to make bad financial decisions about when it comes to cars 🤣
Thanks brother I appreciate the feedback! 🙏🙏🙏 Would be a great quality of life decision, maybe not the wisest financial decision. 🤣 It's nice to be at a point in my life where I can consider it though. Getting old isn't all bad! 😂👍💯
@@thehellraisinhellraiser3251 hahahah 🤣 I can definitely agree with that man. But hey we live one life. Might as well enjoy it with some more cars with power under the hood 💯💪
We just traded our 2018 Durango RT for a 2022 Durango SRT392, pick it up in a few days as they have to do the paint and interior protection package on it yet. The test drive was night and day different. The SRT sounds so much better, the seats are 100x’s more comfortable, the suspension is feels like my corvette (we will se if that’s a good thing for trips) the breaks are amazing and the launch from a stoplight is just wow! My wife wanted a hellcat version as the Durango is basically her car, and I said hell no as she gets tickets with her RT as is!
Man I've been hunting around for anyone to do a review just like this. The intersection between the Durango RT, the Durango SRT, and the Scat Pack. I also own a Scat Pack but always find myself wanting to go places it just can't go but I also don't want to lose the driving experience. This was flippin perfect. Thanks a bunch for a thorough break down! Totally helped me.
Great review and thanks for sharing. I traded in my 2007 Jeep GC with just over 200K for a low mileage 2020 Durango R/T that seats 7. Now the whole family can fit. I am loving this vehicle.
Thanks bro! And thanks for subscribing! I appreciate it! 🙏🙏🙏 Congrats on the Durango! Does it have the Tow n Go package? Is that also your ride in your profile pic? Looks sweet man! 💯🔥💯
Crazy I just found this video & Im from Fort Wayne and my grandfather used to work at Glenbrook Dodge lol but damn Im starting to fall in love with the SRT
Wow that's awesome bro! Yeah the SRT is pretty sweet and Glenbrook had been pretty good to me so far! Thanks for watching and subscribing, I appreciate it! 🙏🙏🙏💪🔥💪
You compared the wrong 2021 RT! Should've grabbed one with the "Tow and Go" package! This package adds performance exhaust, suspension, steering, 20x10 wheels, Brembo brakes, etc on the RT model!!!
I would have loved to review an RT with the Tow and Go but this was the only RT in town. I agree the Tow and Go is the way to go! It gets you everything the SRT has performance wise except the 392 engine. I didn't explain that in my video so thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback! 🙏🙏🙏💯🔥💯
100% agree the tow and go just adds the level of sick needed. And it's a great deal for an add on package well worth the almost 6k price you get a lot of value.
@@davidcohen2474 Well the Tow N Go wouldn't change anything in particular video because he didn't do any brake tests, g-pad, or anything else that would help the RT. Acceleration is same for RT and Tow N Go - which is all he tested really - oh and the sound I guess....the Tow N Go is louder than the RT. Still a great video.
Great comparison vid! I'm stoked to see you doing comparison videos already. That 392 is nuts! The background music was great, especially the riffs and solo during the R/T's 360 degree view. You really thinking about that SRT while keeping the Wide Body?
Thanks brother! 🙏🙏🙏 I was excited to drive the SRT! Yes I really want to get one. Not sure it will happen this year. 🤣 We'll see! Thanks for watching! 🔥🔥🔥
19:24 The push is very clear This is insane car I hope if I feel happy to buy it.. But I think for family daily use R/T is better.. Away from too much gas budget (however still not optimal gas milage) and away from turbo and supercharge craps which make engine fastly wear up
Great video. I would stick with the 2021 rt, but add the tow and go package which includes the SRT exhaust and the brembo brakes. The uconnect 5 is much nicer
Thanks for watching brother! 🙏🙏🙏 Yeah I wish the RT I drove would have had the Tow & Go. Would have made things a little more interesting! I do love the new screen and controls! 💯🔥💯
I just picked up the R/T with the TNG package and I love it! I've owned mostly Fords up to now and was considering the Explorer ST, but I'm still not sold on the body style or the twin turbos. I live in Chicago and the dealer lots in the Chicagoland area are pretty barren right now and I feel fortunate that I was able to find a R/T TNG. Trying to find a R/T was hard enough let alone one with the TNG package. I had to drive an hour outside the city to find one. The exhaust sound is great. I didn't want to spend the money on the SRT. The TNG is a great option for those who don't want to spend SRT money, but get the SRT goodies minus the engine. Call it SRT Lite. I hope she serves me well for many years.
I love the Durangos...I would have to get a 392 tho...when I go visit the parents, I sometimes will drive their R/T...very nice, solid vehicle but alot more tamer than my Scat..😂😂😂😂
@@thehellraisinhellraiser3251 knuckle white with no stripe and the black accent package. Also got towing package, sunroof and a few other small upgrades.
Thanks for watching brother! 🙏🙏🙏 Yeah I love the Hellraiser and wouldn't trade it for anything. But the Durango SRT would make a very cool winter car! 💯🔥💯
Awesome video man! I’m torn between the SRT and the RT w/ TowNGo....any thoughts? Is there that big of a difference between the 5.7 and 6.4? In your opinion is it worth the 10-15k more? Anyone can elaborate....thanks!
Thanks bro appreciate you watching! 🙏🙏🙏 I think the RT would be fine for everyday use and some towing. The TowNGo would definitely be the way to go on that one. For heavy towing I'd probably want the SRT. I'm just used to the power of my Scat Pack, so the RT didn't feel that fast to me but is definitely no slouch either. You should go test drive both and see which one feels best to you. Hope you get what you want bro! 👍🔥👍
@@oklol9 I’m going to regret telling you this buuuuut.....I decided to get a Toyota Tundra. Haha the SRT was my number 1 choice between the RT and SRT but financially I couldn’t swing it. I couldn’t settle for the RT cause I know I would regret it later. Decided to go a different route and I am very happy with my purchase so far.....its a V8.....it’s just not a 6.4 😞
@Kenyon H replied that the 2021 392 does get both of those. His comment showed up in my notifications, but not here on the video page. So I wanted to give him credit for it. Hope you see this Kenyon, and thanks for watching bro! 🙏💯🙏
@@nelsonbirdsong1836 Thanks for subscribing bro! I really appreciate it! 🤜🙏🤛 I had alot of fun making this video! 🤣 Send me a pic on IG when you get your ride! 💯💥💯
@Rich Scali I feel you bro. Honestly I'm gonna hold off on buying another car right now and see what the economy does. I'm still paying on the Hellraiser! 🤣🤣🤣
@Rich Scali The Hellraisin Hellraiser is my 2020 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody! 🤣🤣🤣 I named the channel for the car! 👍🔥👍 You can't go wrong with the Scat Pack, but I hope you can get what you really want bro! 💪💪💪
I'm getting one next month also. Getting the RT AWD with tow and go. Can't find one with red and black interior within 250 miles unfortunately all black will do.
RT has 370 hp 390 torque not slow at all I guarantee that car will be in ur rear view mirror not far behind you can’t get away from a RT/ even in an srt
