2021 Ducati Supersport 950 S with Akrapovič Complete Exhaust 

It is a waste of money and time to buy this awesome Akra full system and leave the DB-Killers still in it. I heard this system in a Ducati store on the 2018 first gen supersport 939 model, man it sounds awesome. So much louder than in this video

@mathias6423 Definitely not a waste of money, actually most of us appreciate the fact they have silencers and work. There are times when you get tired of listening to the exhaust and to be honest, if ever you wanna rip around in the city, it's better to be stealth because the cops aren't turning their heads looking for you. I think having the option to change it at your discretion within 2 minutes is great, plus in 5 years you won't be going deaf (which race exhausts do to people).

This customer already had the tail tidy on it before we worked on the exhaust.

No, to the step-by-step installation. Yes, to the need to go to a dealer to have the up map installed.

It is the same system, mechanically. There is no difference between the 939 and 950. There is a difference between the map tune of the 950 and 939, however. Other than a few electronic updates, lighting and bodywork, the 950SS and 939SS are the same.

@@RideQuick I am in Australia and the exhaust systems here are vastly different between the two models. Also the Akrapovic exhausts have different part numbers and the 950 requires a new front header pipe to suit the Akra system.

True, the part number is different, because the map tune is different. This exhaust was for the 939 and they used a Servo Buddy for the check engine light since this wasn't the kit for the 950.

No. These pipes will not work with the Ducati line of side cases.

Why would anybody in their right mind when he use panniers on a bike like this? Yes they make them for the bike but it would be absolutely ridiculous. Go get a cruiser. Or a touring bike.

Not sure about the noise compliance, but for this video, the db killer was left in. We only remove if the customer requests it.

The DB should be available from your local Ducati Service Center. The current Kawasaki H2R stock is 116 and the Akrapovic full titanium system is just over 101 without the added silencer inserts. According to the data listed online. As Ducati bought out certain Distribution and sales rights they do not list this data in either website.

It took a long time for us to get it. It was backordered from Ducati.

We didn't. The customer installed it himself. We only installed the exhaust system. However, it looked like an EvoTech.

The Supersport is more of a daily rider/sport touring bike. The Panigale is a track-focused sport bike. Sure, you can commute on a V2, but the SS950 is A LOT more rider friendly and comfortable. You'll definitely give up some speed (112hp vs 155hp) dropping down to the SS950, but it's no slouch...it's still plenty fast and track capable when you're ready to push it. It's also easier to ride fast than the Panigale. The Supersport does have a slightly lower seat height and it is my personal favorite out of all the brands we sell/service. All of the looks and 'Ducati' appeal of the Panigale and none of the drawbacks.

Compare? You mean, the sound? Because, the video lists the comparison for power, torque and weight.

Slightly louder at idle, but considerably more deeper and throatier on the gas, especially at mid to high rpm.

That sucks. Akra should redisign the exhaust to be lower especially for a more optimal center of gravity.

Ducati makes a optional part that lets you use the passenger foot pegs after installation of the Akrapovic system. You can find it on their website.

@@RideQuick I can't possibly be wrong. Sound is quite subjective. Not completely, but quite. Ducati's explanation is that we put these on Bagnaia's bike too, so for $2-5K you can have the same. Everything is wonderful, looking great, sounding great with your new upgrade until that R1 with cross-plane sound pulls up at the lights; Again, not wrong, just an opinion;

Sounds are subjective. You're 100% right. I am not a fan of this one, personally, but some of us here were. Still think it's harsh to say it sounds like a John Deere tractor..., but then again, I haven't heard all tractors. So...

It's for "Off Road Course Competition Only" according to the box and that is our 'official' answer.

It's a Ducati factory option. Available from any Ducati dealer.

It's a split opinion. Our service manager hates it, too. The Ducati tech whom installed it, loves it.
