2021 Elantra N Line | 9 Months of Ownership Review 

Got mine in April for my wife and I'm finding myself behind the wheel more than she has. It's peppy and engaging. Saves gas like a champ if you treat it right. I find when its on Smart Eco it saves the most. I updated the software for the stereo which solves some of the disconnect problems

Great owner review. It’s great to hear about a cars small quirks as only owners will stumble across them as they live with the car. Not surprised you have had no issues. Hyundai and Kia seem to be really on a roll.

I have the Elantra N-line. 1 thing you NEED to do is get rid of those crappy hankooks and get better tires TRUST ME! I went with 245/40-18 BF GOODRICH COMP 2 All seasons and it made a huge difference.

Seeing as prices are out of control even more now, you lucked out getting the DCT version for $23k. I have only been seeing these upwards of almost $28K without the markup... most are still adding a few grand on top of that.

That is a deal of a car, the 23's and 24's are upwards of 30,000 here in California.

The driving dynamics is more important than apple car play.

Good video - I have the 2021 N-Line w/ MT. Agree with the wireless carplay/android auto... it definitely gets buggy, at times. When I first got the car, the radio controls were weird.. when you want to change tracks or radio station, the steering wheel control seems to be backwards. I am use to it now. $23k... was that before taxes?

I have a M/T in Western Massachusetts. 24 miles to work mostly highway. Traded in '12 Veloster. Love the new features. Android auto does have issues. The other annoyance on road trips is the sun visor wont hold at any position. Thanks for your review. Maybe can get a New England forum going on your channel

I have the 2021 manual transmission version. Honestly I have none of the issues you have. Except the plastic shifting noise on the interior. I love my car. I have 28k on mine an bouit with 11mi on it new. I live in New England too.

I am looking to buy one, 23 Elantra not the N line. But I am hearing lot of complains about having bad transmission and glitchy carplay. That's my main concern atm. Also which dealership do you recommend for buying and servicing around boston?

The quirks and your complaints are pretty minor. That's a positive. Definitely not the best car in class, but great bang for the buck.

I'm curious...how is the sound quality on the stereo? I want to say the N Line is the 6-speaker system, correct? Not quite the high end, but hopefully not super low end?

I got a 21 n-line DCT as well, just under 19k miles and my biggest issues going form the 18 sport to this was the downgrade in features. The sport had turn signals on the mirrors, and leather everything, while this car a direct evolution loses out on. Also i feel like the throttle response on the 18 sport was perfect while this is pretty ass, it sometimes just does NOT want to move, sport mode, sport transmission mode just like GOOOOO, its got better torque delivery than the 18 so i just dont get why it wont go lol. If it didnt have that launching problem it would be way faster than any other car in the 20k range. I did a cold air intake for the noises and its been a fun car to just have with its stock BoV, but just wish it kept the same engine characteristics the 18 sport had and just updated them

I'm looking to add the system updates using the navigation updater app but I cant find the " Elantra N line" in the list of model names, only Elantra N and Elantra (with various years) I found. I tried imputing the model/system information in the search bar provided but that didn't work. What I'm asking if the 2021 Elantra and N line use the same system upgrades? Cant seem to find this information anywhere and don't want to download the wrong updates and screw something up, Thanks.

Apple carplay is jenky in my 2016 f150 so its not just the elantra n line. Sometimes it wont bring up apple carplay at all or it brings it up but freezes and wont play, change song, etc. I just bought a 22 elantra n line but cant pick it up until mid april because its in transit.
