Thank you so much! Right now he's been so busy in school with band and extra curriculars so I'm trying to get something for the channel come spring. He's looking forward to a RV show so something coming soon I hope.
Your son is adorable and what a great presentation. He has the basics down. Cereal, cookies, oatmeal and pizza.. My sister, brother-in-law, nephew and I just went to an RV show, and he looked at a Jayco super C. It is very similar to your rig. I am subscribing to your channel.
Thank you! He really is the brains behind our channel, but due to some medical issues, school and new activities our channel has hit a pause. We do have some content but our time, rather his is short but I may pickup the editing soon. So stay tuned!
Opposing kitchen slide often gives you 3 things, smaller counter top and cabinets, less space when slides are closed like when driving and the slide sticks out into your patio area cutting down useable space under the awning. It can give you a lot of indoor floor space. Very nice review thank you gentlemen.
As a Firefighter, we always trained to mount and dismount an apparatus with three points of contact, even when in a hurry to get to a call because we didn't have time to pick anyone up off the floor. Nice Rig!
Hey brother just checked out your video after seeing the same RV on Matt's channel. I actually liked yours better because it was more informative from a user's point of view. Your boy did a great job also. I will share something about loosing the weight. I'm 6' 2" and was 255 lbs. I ended up having symptoms for prediabetes, and after discussing things with my doctor I went on a Keto diet. The main importance of the diet was to drop carbs. After being on the keto diet for 6 months I'm down to 235 lbs. For exercise all I do is walk. Sometimes with my dog, sometimes without. I use an app that's free from The Play Store called Carb Manager, if you want to try it out. It works very well. You'll know you've got the right app if you see the icon is a white circle with a green "C" and a red "M". Blessings to you and your family, and PTL. If you have any questions catch me on Facebook if you'd like.
I know this post is over a year back but thank you for the super c run through. We too are looking at a super c for traveling in. I have traveled the world, japan, ireland, korea and such, but as a wise old man told me, you can travel the world all you want, but until you have seen all of our state, you have not lived. As i have aged i have realized how right he was. Keep rving my freinds and if you stopped, take this as a hope you get back to exploring.
Thank you Tim for those kind words. We still RV, unfortunately the kid who ran the channel is also busy back in school, Taekwondo, soccer and now band. I also started a new job back in July so I have yet to start editing 😑. As you said though we have been doing a lot of in state trips in VA. Most notably TN for a short stay. Once I get my new job under my belt I will start editing again if my son does not. Thank you for your support!
Great detail and super informative. Based on this great walk through and some additional research we are buying a 37K. Awesome work form your young man. 👏👍🏼
Your son was great! Thank you both for the extensive review. I don't know why Entegra didn't put the bedroom outlets on the nighstands instead of on the side of the bed. That's just silly. Really hard to get to. Also, where did you get the soap containers in your shower? That's a great idea! I agree with your son on the fridge. When camping without a tow vehicle, you can't really make trips to the grocery store so that big fridge would come in handy. Also agree on the lack of opposing slides. I'd actually sacrifice the 2nd toilet for a bigger living room and perhaps an additional pantry or larger full bath.
Hey and thanks!!! Dee says she got the soap dispenser from Amazon. Not sure where, we need to be more proactive and posting links to products we use and recommend. We recently went a spell where didn't have our tow vehicle and it truly sucked. I may have changed my outlook on opposing slides. Video coming soon. Right now we just enjoy the last days of summer until school starts again.
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 awesome! Thank you! I appreciate all the info and can’t wait to own a super C of my own. We’re done with our 5th wheel as we are a family of 7 now and it really limits the distance we can go camping and makes it impossible to be together in one vehicle. The super c seems like the most practical option for a large family. Looking forward to your next video :)
I bought the 2020 Entegra Accolade 37TS, like you said I love the opposing slide outs. Of course, I only have one full split bath at mid ship, which I kinda like. Now for what I dislike: 1) Not enough power ports on the dash for my gadgets (Garmin RV 890, Haloview monitor (better picture to see behind my pickup when I’m towing it or when I put my kayak rack on the back of the RV), my TPMS, a dash cam, and the Patriot brake controller. 2) The shower does have a seat; but, it really is too big for the small shower stall, it would have be better to have the seat under the shower head so you could further away from the shower head. 3) Since I don’t and won’t drink the water from the refrigerator or use the ice, I wish I could have got the refrigerator without those two items. Here are my likes: 1) With opposing slides, you really could have a dance party (like I dance) in the living room. 2) The massive storage outside because my wife thinks I take enough tools to build a house, really not that many but plenty. 3) The pure visibility going down the highway, I like seeing over the cars and pickups in front of me. Some of my modifications: 1) Installed a new power fuse block under the dash for two 12 volt (cigarette light style) power ports on each A pillar and four USB power ports installed in the (believe it or not) the ashtray. 2) Pulled the glass doors off the shower and installed a curved shower rod to create more space for the shoulder area and don’t have to wipe the glass after each shower. 3) A hotel style safe behind the bedroom TV. I have a few things I’ve been thinking about; i.e., relocating the water pump to make it accessible, installing the See Level tank monitoring system because the factory system is not accurate, install a Bluefire Adapter for see more engine diagnostic readings while going down the road, and switching the water heater out for a tankless system.
Great video guys! I loved your sons presentation, he did such a great job. You both made my husband and I consider the super C once again over the class A were looking at, good job! 👍
Thank you, I will admit, the Class A definitely gives you more living space but there's something about having some protection in front of you in case of an accindent.
@@lennytaylor5610 my son say he like the features such as heated floors and awning system. I would counter with saying I do not like the shiny wood materials and lack of propane. Without substantial upgrades to the batteries and or electrical panel, it would make boondocks incredibly worrisome.
Not picking apart your setup it’s a great one. Looked like at least in the video when you opened up the outdoor entertainment door the seal on the left side needed to be pushed back in. I’m sure you’ve noticed but incase you didn’t. Happy travels I like the RV.
I believe our main slide is a rack and pinion type and bedroom slide is on a Schwintek style. I've heard of slideout issue with newer Super Cs and Class As alike due to manufacturers not completing processes properly. We've been blessed to apparently have one that was built during the Pandemic but before the mass layoffs and deaths. So we haven't had any of those issues as of yet.
Excellent review by u both, congrats on ur retirement! Love ur Entegra motorhome, well built, well worth the price ;) Recently retired myself and loving my class c 30 footer, it will be the first time towing a dolly though while heading southwest for the winter ;) Enjoy ur wonderful home on wheels it's ur earned retirement, my friend :) Thanks for sharing ;)
Hey thanks brother, congrats on your retirement as well. I'm sure traveling to the southwest at least from the southeast should be a breeze, well except for I-10 but if you are traveling from the midwest to the southeast it might be worth it to record and share it with us! We plan on going out west once we are comfortable with my new work schedule and being part time RVers. Little late to reply and maybe I missed it, but how is power going up grade? I have heard it was under powered but want get your take on it. I do think the coach looks awesome!
Well we haven't really experienced any serious grades as of yet, at the most maybe 7-9% incline once or twice. If anything there is a learning curve because if you've never driven a vehicle this size or felt diesel on a smaller scale you'd think it was underpowered. Truth be told this is our 3rd diesel and switching to manual mode changes ratios and mapping which definitely gives you the power you feel like you're missing. If anything I'd rather pay some extra money to get rid of my DEF system altogether but it's against the law😏😏😏
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 I agree with you 100% ...I drive a desiel 2500 Gmc and would love to delete the DEF. Thankbyou for the reply and keep us update to date!
Yeah we love that part as well, unfortunately we kind of wish there was more space to pass from the kitchen to the half bath but I think its asking too much. I am like the 37M layout much more I see it.
Thank you, I know my son wants to do some reviews from his perspective on more RVs in the future. I told him there might be a RV show in our future lol!
I'm loving Entegra, right now not so much the aftercare from dealerships but the brand is spot on. I think once Diggy graduates, hopefully Entegra has a C on a Cascadia chassis!
First, great video. I’ve been going back and forth between the Entegra Odyssey 30z and that one, mainly because I love the floor plan with the living room area being separate from the kitchen. Second, try intermittent fasting. It works for me. But you have to be committed to living a healthier life. Think of it this way….if you make living healthier (regular exercise, eating healthier, which includes drinking healthier, etc.), you never have to diet. Burn more calories than you take in and I promise you will notice the difference. I have faith in you. God bless you and continue enjoying life.
Thank you, and thank you more! Yeah I'm trying to watch my caloric intake now, especially with the holidays coming around. The key factor is exercise. I'm truly lazy but I've stopped taking elevators and try more.
Thank you for clarifying what the residential refrigerator is since there is an option which choice of fridge to purchase and the side by side is definitely the one I want.
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 Thank you so much for your reply. I learned so much from your outstanding video and your reply Diggy! I watched your video about “Blessing” several times. And my friends watched it also because it is so good! Great job again guys!
@@patrombach as a growing channel you don't know how much it means to us that people would follow and appreciate our experience. Thank you so much for the continued support and we'll wishes. We will try to keep making better content!
Hello- great video and thanks for sharing- how did you install the steering stabilizer? Did you do it yourself or had someone else install it? Any videos you can share? If you had it installed by someone else, what was the cost? Did it make a difference in the drive? Thanks so much,
Hey, so for the stabilizer I did that myself. The install was straight forward, there were only a couple RU-vid videos out there that describe it but if I had to do it again I'd let an expert do it. Mainly because I didn't have the right tools readily available. The difference is major, no more crosswinds and big trucks pushing us to the side as much.
Great question. I would compare it to buying a prefab house. It's good but get an inspector before you sign the dotted line. We've only had small issues but imagine your house going through an earthquake for a couple hours per week. There's going to be some stuff that shakes loose, so some of which is to expected with a RV. Luckily all of our issues have been quick fixes or ok to put off until it is serviced. So very reliable for us and our type of travels.
Unfortunately the basement does not have heat nor air conditioning 😕. I've seen some videos on how to install some ducting to make it but we really do not winter camp so it's a wash right now.
Thanks Jeff. The noise level is bearable, it's definitely not a Rolls Royce. I personally like it, I can hear what my engine and trans are doing. I haven't seen any Class C's or Super C's that have a laptop tray, I feel it's a Class A and smaller B thing. Unfortunately my seats don't swivel as of now. I don't believe any manufacturer using S2RV chassis has swivel seats, you'd have to move up to the M2 or MV chassis from International. I do play on adding this feature since it's not difficult to install.. Hope this helps.
Hey, y’all doing pretty good video but opposing slides would be nice for like the other comment. Said it would cut down on your counter space I think but you have two bathrooms. That’s a great day and I’m thinking about getting a super C here shortly, so thanks a lot I might consider one of these
Been looking at these. I did take one for a drive but that engine has a loud fan in front when you first take off till it calms down. Have you experienced that loud fan noise.
Yes, the fan noise is rather loud when it has to cycle the DEF Regen. Outside of that it's what's expected from a truck this size. I've driven multiple moving vehicles and a number of diesel military vehicles so this is quiet by comparison.
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 that’s the reason I would have to move the the renegade or the superstar with the upgraded engine. More money of course. Enjoy it though they are nice.
They're nice rigs. Only concerning issue to date was a blown circuit breaker that controlled the seats and lights. Nothing major at this time. Almost 4200 miles on ours so still practically brand new!
Great video. I’m getting ready to order the same unit if I can’t find a suitable one in stock. Did you have any of the new rv issue’s come up? The little bugs that seem to need to be worked out when you first start using it. My toyhauler which is a Nitro had a couple assembly issue’s. Thanks. Beautiful coach!
Hi Charles, we've had little issues so far. Cockpit seats not electrically working and one of our exhaust fans recently stopped working. I am still troubleshooting. We hired an inspector for Pre-Delivery so many items were caught that needed to be addressed before we left the dealership. My one suggestion is get what you like but hire an inspector before you sign away. Do you know what floorpan you are looking for or is going to be the same as ours?
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 Thanks for the quick response. We’re going with the 37K as well, probably be a 22 at this point. We were considering the bunk model, have twin four year old boys, but think the overhead will be just fine and the extra bath will be nice. The inspector for pre delivery is a great idea. I’m a contractor, and have been of the mind that rv’s are rv’s, and I’d just fix what is needed, but your idea is much better for initial purchase. Not that mpg’s matter much with this, what kind of average are you seeing of you don’t mind. Appreciate the input.
@@Charlie-go6eb as the boys grow, one will most likely take the couch while the other will choose the bunk or the dinner table. I'd settle for the bunk it has the better view at night. I think right now hiring an inspector is imperative because of the quality of workmanship coming out of Indiana across ass makes and models. The other reason is at this price point some things should be turn key and not figure out as you go so you expect some sense of peace of mind especially when you're on the road with the family and enjoying the camping experience. Now MPG varies because my wife averages about 10-11 while towing and I average about 8-9 while towing. I hate big trucks passing me...
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 Lol, regarding mileage. Completely agree on the quality issue’s. That’s great advice for every one on really every rv. Point taken on the bunks, we’ll look at both before we decide. Thanks for the feedback. Best to you and yours!
Love your videos. One of these days I'll be in a position to get a Super C. The kids have to eventually move out. Right? 🤣Speaking of kids, if Diggy is in to Space you guys should think about coming to Huntsville to take him to the Space and Rocket Center. Redstone has a campground for military personnel and it is supposed to be really nice. Keep up the good work and I look forward to watching y'alls adventures.
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 my dream is to get a Show Hauler. I’ve got wait till I get my middle child done at Vanderbilt and the youngest done at Auburn before I can do any kind of RV. So hopefully in 4 years I can start with a used Nexus or something and then once I get closer to retirement get the big daddy truck conversion.
@@lesbillman9482 don't let it past by. I saw somewhere where someone said you only have 18 summers with your kids so make the most of it while they're there. So if it means getting into something cheaper like Nexus or Thor then do it now rather then later. Our first rv season has been amazing even during the pandemic.
If you are referring to us speaking more about it, I don't believe we went into much detail. It was an immediate purchase after our shakedown trip at our local KOA. As a matter of fact Dee purchased it while we were going to sleep the 2nd night there 😆
Thanks for the quick response on the stabilizer. Did you happen to take a video while installing by chance? If not, are you able to show what it looks like now? You had mentioned that there videos out there for the install but kind find any for the freightliner. Thanks so much,
We can do a short video I think. Between work and school my son and I haven't had much time to work on our Labor day video but I will put this down as a video to go more in depth in.
Since you asked for help with getting down in weight. Look into cutting carbs and time restricted eating. There are over 30 names for sugar in the American diet and its poisoning us. Once I learned that almoat everything had processed sugars from corn, soy and wheat added, I cut most of that out. Also look into throwing away all oils except real extra virgin olive, avacado and ghee, (clarified butter). Vegetable oil, canola, and almost all other oils are refined with heat and hexene solvent (gasoline refining) and are omega 6 and inflammatory to the human body in the amounts that are in our food. I did the above and got my Sixpack back at 43 with no other changes. Good luck.
@@searchingwhilesupercing1333 you can still eat meat and healthy fats. Just stay away from sugar and processed foods that are sugar but we don't notice are sugar. I'm a sugar addict so I can't have any of that in the house or I eat it. Once I learned to read labels and shopped, the fat melted away in a few months.
