After six and a half years plus, my home-built seaplane is only 98% built... still a lawn ornament and not a plane. But now I have the time (well, some time), the opportunity and most importantly, I have a plan. Not just to finish the build, but also to get it into the air and onto the water; exploring the Salish Sea and seeing how many of the supposed 32 lakes in the area are seaplane friendly. My recent 6 month self-imposed deadline to finish the build and get into the air is up , with lots left to do. Yikes! How time flies! Unlike my plane. I am documenting my challenges, set backs and triumphs with videos every two weeks or so. And seeing as building and flying a plane is not difficult enough, I am loading on the stress by re-learning some "skills" that I neglected decades ago such as playing the bagpipes, riding a unicycle and juggling. Did I mention that I don't even have a pilot's license at this time? But hey, I have a plan...
