Information about the Mercedes Benz 2021 E Class Convertible for PetrolHeads:
It’s equipped with a 258 HP 190 kW 6 cylinder in row engine which produces 370 Nm of torque + EQ boost.
0-100 km/h (62mph) can be reached in the E Class Convertible in 6,6 seconds.
The top speed VMAX is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155mph)

I honestly like the new infotainment with the touchpad and wheel. I drove the new GLE and personally I like having a solid scroll wheel it makes controlling the infotainment easier when driving.

I am looking at the E 450 Cabriolet and the C 43 AMG Cabriolet. Love the luxury of the E class interior, it is such a jump from a C. The natural grain light elm wood in the E class is gorgeous. I like sportier cars so I was leaning towards C 43 AMG but every time I look at the inside of an E class me heart melts. Tough decision.

It is all about your personal preferences, if you like to get a quick sporty coupe go for the C, but if you love to have some comfortable cruises the E Class is the best! 😍 Love both cars but I love to drive slowly with comfort mode on so the E Class is also my personal favorite! ✌🏼

I had an SL and the wife had a SLK with the hard roof, and the mechanisms were hypnotic to watch, every time. I do know what you mean, but I wonder what the C, E or S would like like with a hard shell.

Love the cabriolet, I would have bought one earlier but could not get a beige interior in the uk, only black or dark brown.I really wanted an e53 but we did not like the dark interiors, seem claustrophobic to us. If we can get a beige interior and roof lining here in the uk we would defiantly buy one but I am not hopeful so will probably pass on this

I just started following you and i'm not disappointed that was a cool review. One thing i don't inderstand why did they not change the touchpad, all the e-class portfolio have the new one, how it can't fit on the cabriolet?

Well, that is for safety reasons. Mercedes-Benz wants you to only be able to control the car's roof from very close, because what if you accidently open/close it from far away, maybe by putting the key in your tight pocket and the button gets pressed and held. Possible. How would you know if you are so far away? And they also want to "force" you to be at a distance where you will most definitely be able to see the car, so you don't close the roof on someone or something that happens to get in its way. Yeah.

I like the e class but I cannot get over where the shifter is. Especially in a sport. I cant take a sport car seriously when the shifter is next to the steering wheel. It's just weird and granny like.

I have a question. So does the new 2021 facelift have the SAME rear taillights as the last version? Is it only the front lights that got facelifted?

The stardust taillights from the previous version are gone - replaced by lights that have a more 3-D appearance. Not an improvement, IMHO. In fact, nothing in terms of style is an improvement with this car compared to the previous version, just slightly different.
