I’m happy with my ecoboost of course it’s not a true 4 seater I didn’t buy it for that. But it’s sporty and fun. 0-60 respectfully quick. If you want more power go v-8 but have money for gas
Got one 2 days ago. OMG I love it. Can't wait for when the weather gets good. It sounds nice too. I almost had a Mustang moment. When I left dealership it was raining. Making a turn and giving it a lil gas, it got sideways. I know better now. LOL
thanks for the video, very informative! after watching I can't see the need to pay an extra $10,000 for the V8 GT if my wife is just going to use the car mainly for city driving, the EcoBoost appears to have plenty of power for daily use.
You’re welcome and thank you for giving smaller RU-vidr a chance! That EcoBoost has plenty of pick-up, but if you’re going to be driving it too and keeping it for a while, I’d certainly look into getting a GT, but a pre-owned one. You can get them in the $30K range.
When your doing a launch you want to do something called Brake Boosting. You hold the brake Down so you can spool up the turbo. You want to launch around 2500 RPM. You also probably want to Launcb in Track mode and sport on the shifter. The manuals you can set your Launch RPM. It also has track apps to look at what your 0-60 time is. The exhaust is a lot better if you get the Active Exhaust, where you can change how loud your exhaust is. The exhaust is set like the drive modes. When it’s in Track mode it completely opens the baffles.
That all makes sense. I did discover that launch control was deactivated on the car I had because it was a rental. I will remember all of this for next time though!
Had mine for 3 months. Taking back Monday. I cant take how crude it is. It dont have a tonneau cover. Cannot use top while going over 1 mph. I hate putting the damn tonneau side caps on and off. Have to get out the damn car all the time ughhh, Benz next time. I hate the damn fake engine noises. Gets annoying when you just trying to cruise around and the fake noises irks me.
A four banger mustang is nothing new. The disaster that was the Mustang II, as well as the Fox body Mustang, also came with four cylinder motors. The Eco Boost is light-years ahead of those four cylinders.
We had a Kermit the Frog Green Mustang last year. Incredibly quick. Didn't like the tall long hood. The sound was not a good sound. My Accord sounds better, factory stock, no goofy exhaust. Better than the Camaro. I thought the toggle switches came form the Dollar Store. I got in the back seat too.
embarrassing to see Ford did this again. Remember they had pull the Mustang nameplate and rename it Probe in the 90’s…. could it get any worse….Mustang EV hold my beer…
