Hi, I watch you from the USA, and I am 70. We raised our 7 children on our homestead with dairy goats, pigs, chickens, sheep and large gardens. We had running water and electricity, and it was still a ton of work! I loved it all. We have been married 50 years now, and my 95 year old mom lives with us in town. I wish you the best this coming new year!

Hej Kalle, yes, I did miss your and Christine's videos during the last weeks. I was wondering what was going on. I am a 69 year old lady, living on a fairly isolated farm with my family in Germany. I love following people's lives through the video blogs they share. For me it is a rather wonderful opportunity to get to know people from other countries, different walks of life and interests. As a viewer one develops such a good feeling for the people one watches, in some cases I would even call it love. It's amazing how that can develop without ever having met the people. I find the more real people are, the more I like the channel. I would guess your community here would feel the same. So yes, I am looking forward very much to your next video. I love the drone footage; so beautiful! As for what I’d like to see: more off- grid everyday stuff. Over here in the states, there are thousands of us who more and more raise our own animals and grow our own food. A lot of it has been a knee jerk Covid response, but it’s taught us to lead healthier lives. We know where our food comes from. What our animals ate. Our seeds are non GMO. We are living in strange times and this has humbled us in a good way. I hope and pray the best for you and Kristine. You’ll get through it! Time heals everything.

It's good to know that your viewers are all ages - I'm 60 (but still feel very young) and often wonder how many other women my age watch these videos. I retired early from an office job and now spend my time helping to trap and socialize stray/lost cats and get them adopted. I also am a folk/celtic musician (request: please play more music and talk about how you compose, technically and the creative process) and finally have the time and energy to devote to that. I live near Albany NY in a sweet little town that I love in a small cottage with my husband and our cats. With both of us retired and the pandemic, i understand how easy it is to get on each others' nerves. We've been married for almost 40 years and get along great but we even get a little 'snippy' from time to time. I'm sorry you've been going through a hard time - my thoughts are prayers are with both of you. Oh, to be honest, I feel the same about this year! There were lots of changes which made me and my boyfriend quite stressed and we've been fighting a lot. Few times I thought that he's gonna leave me as we talked about our goals and dreams, he noticed that we're so different it wouldn't be surprising if we split someday. I love him though. How would I be happy in my dream place without my dream man? But I finally feel that I have a direction in case of fall of our relationship. So I took some lessons, maybe he did the same, and let's hope for a better 2022. 2021 was the worst for many people, as I see. We deserve a celebration like never before. Ultimately, good genuine people attract other similar people. The title of this video caught my attention. I thought 2021 was the worst year. My wife and I had dengue fever, had several lockdowns and then we both got covid. I have been off Facebook and instagram. I planned to go back on Insta and post “2021 fuck you” But then I realised that I grew and learned a lot, dropping off social media to exercise more, improving guitar playing and reading more books. So in the end I said thank you 2021. I am not sure what happened to you but I hope you can reach a point where you are grateful for 2021

What I'd like to know more about is how you managed to afford living in the cabin before all your online businesses really started to become sustainable. I think a lot of people would like to turn their lives around and come back to a more simple lifestyle, but are unsure of how to support themselves. As for future video content, I love that your topics vary from video to video. I never know which topic you will gift us with next. Each video is like a special surprise gift. Some things I would like to see: the Northern Lights, Swedish and Danish traditions (holidays, birthdays, winter solstice), showing us how to prepare traditional Danish or Swedish meals, more home renovations, such as expanding your house to include another room and bathroom, installing a second stove (gas or electric), a visit to Lapland if feasible, and more candid questions and answer sessions about you and Christine, a typical day routine for you and Christine, last but not least, more beautiful cinematography.
Your channel and a few others inspired me to change my RU-vid channel from an unboxing channel to more of a cinematic lifestyle Vlog with natural remedies focus as I work on my Naturopath certification. I’ve lost subscribers at this point and hope I haven’t let them down, but I started thinking about what messages and life lessons I was leaving behind for my future grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thank you for inspiring me to want to get equipment and share the beauty of the area that I just moved. The San Juan National Forest is such a beautiful place and I’m so excited (and scared to death) to start this journey with my RU-vid friends. All my love to you and Christine! Sending you both a huge bear hug from Finnland!!! Sorry to see you so upset! And yes life is real and often a struggle! We put together a highlights-video too for our families as a Christmas present. It's not the "The Water froze" or the "Clean the well" or "Cream the Chickens combs because it's f***in cold" videos. They don't want to see that. They don't want hear that. But you and I know about that!! And don't take it wrong: when you showed your smoking woodstove I was relieved. Relieved because someone with more experience still gets the stove smoking so I am not a fool for having that issue. So thank you for having the guts to reveal at least parts of the real life in the cabin.

A retired educator from Missouri, USA, here. The isolation of living in a Covid world has resulted in enjoying the world & the variety of lifestyles available to us through the internet. Thank you for opening the door for us to visit you. That door need not stay wide open to the world. If you need to shut it for periods of time, you should do that without feeling obligation or guilt. Life is expected to be full of ups & downs & sometimes it takes effort & processing to come back to a place of health, balance, & perspective that is personally acceptable- you need not offer explanations. Thank you for being candid and honest about you and Cristina...the on camera perfect moments and the off camera real life moments. I enjoy watching young people make their way in this world. Especially those that work hard to find true happiness and what that means to them. I am going to be seventy-two this year. Much has happened in my life during that time. I wonder after watching your videos and other videos of young couples making a life on their own...I wonder why I didn't think take such a path instead of the one I found my way walking. It's refreshing to listen and watch these videos. Makes me feel good and that there is much more goodness in this life than what the world is experiencing now. We hear so much of the bad stuff, the muddy waters of life, the hatred and it is very disheartening. Your videos are like therapy for me, although, I do realize that you and Cristina are both very human. The fact that you can admit that and talk about it makes you both more 'real' for me. And that maybe...just maybe my life has meaning even though I have lived most of it now. I was your ages once, but I don't remember ever being so smart and curious about life and what truly makes me happy. My world was small and when I ventured out I didn't have the desire to search for meaning to my life until much later when I had lost so much to be grateful for. I found that I had experienced true happiness after I had lost it. I had it all the time I just didn't know that for what it was. thank you for being who you are and not afraid of being honest about your lives. I don't see either of you as movie stars who live life 'acting' in the entertainment world. Young couples like Cristina and you on RU-vid that I watch faithfully aren't living 'movie star' lives. there is nothing magical about your daily lives...happiness isn't the word 'magic' for me. Magic is magic. Magic is not real. Thank you for being 'real' and true to yourselves. That is what I find in your videos and what draws me to find true happiness for myself. I love your videos. The talking and explaining what is happening in your life. It really helps so many of us to dream of the possibilities and the practicalities where we might expect to run into the need of knowledge for. Also I absolutely love the opportunity to support you (for free right now with likes, clicks and channel subscribing but later with patreon etc). I do the same for an artist in France who is Welsh, an American from NYC who moved to Florida, and another American in Oregon. So many are turning to streaming for a living which in my opinion is demanding though highly creative work. I appreciate you all in my life so much. The value you bring is immeasurable.

I know it is already august 2022, but I just discoverd your channel last week, so.. 😉 I realy like Day In The Life video's were you show the normal daily things. In you case that is also building, renovating, hiking with the doggies, getting water in the lake when the pond is dried up, trips to other places... and I realy liked the visites as well that you both did to other youtubers and for example the old mill. I do like al the talks as well and hear about you thought and feelings. It is very nice to see like minded, beautiful souls talk about and do the things that I feel and want to do in life. I do not have people here in my life that feel the same. It realy opens my heart and mind to see you both live the life I dream about. 💜 I know I probably will never live in Sweden (which makes me a bit sad sometimes), but you make my heart burst of motivation to try to changes at least some little things when possible. Hello Kalle, happy new year 2022! To answer to your questions I would be interested to know how do you organise food. How do you plan food rational, food storage. Do you hunt, fish? What do you do if you run out of bread/ butter…anything? I reckon there’s not many shopping centers in your area :-). Are you guys minimalists in terms of wardrobe? What do you do when you are sick or if there’s an emergency about your health? On that note…are you guys familiar with the terms Covid? As if I remember well you started your life in the woods earlier than the pandemic had started. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

I exist! I can’t remember how I found your channel. But I watch you tube to “ travel in my mind” and also to see more life choices that I might have made if I had more time. During the Covid, of coarse we are all inside more( I’m in Massachusetts in usa), but also I have cancer and can no longer work…so watching videos from around the world, places and nice friendly, interesting people, is how I make it thru the weeks…….> lots of chemo , sleeping and RU-vid. Husband and I led a charmed life for 30 years. Then in 2014 we started a long unlucky streak.....he had three serious accident resulting in several emergency surgeries, he almost had to have his foot amputated, but the worst was the accident that involved a head injury and he was no longer able to work. The weird thing is that when just one good thing happens in amongst all this crap; like getting a puppy and she turns out to be a natural emotional support animal who couldn't have been more perfect if she'd been professionally trained, or my husband's brain issues suddenly having a massive improvement 3 1/2 years after his accident, well, it just wipes all that other crap away, and you end up barely remembering it.
We’re so glad that both you and Christina chose to be so personal with us…we all know how difficult this time has been for you. ( especially those of us that have gone through the same thing.) My hope is that you feel how much everyone cares for both of you, and that you are not alone. 💜

There are lots of people who's life is up side down and are mentally struggling with the whole pandemic situation already for 2 years.
