I've had mine for 1 month and I freakin love this car. Hyundai knocked it out of the park with this one. I got the SEL with the limited package. OMG this car is probably the safest car to drive on the planet. It does and has everything you would ever want to keep your long commute to work enjoyable and a breeze. I got it for the the gas savings and all the technology features it has. It IS worth every penny too for the upgrade package.
Great vid and info. I'm a 2021 Elantra SEL/conv pkg owner and one real oddity I've discovered is the process required to change wiper blades. The wiper blades are designed to be 'hidden', so can't be manually pulled up away from the windshield as is normally done on other cars because the wiper arm will immediately hit the edge of the hood. Instead, the engine must be started, then shut off, then within 20 seconds, the wiper control lever is flipped up to "Mist", at which time the wipers will advance to a full upright position and become accessible to change the blades. After the blades are changed, the engine must once again be started in order to return the wipers to the down/stored position. CRAZY!!!! If you're not a 'car person' and had to take the car someplace to have the wiper blades replaced, good luck on them knowing what to do!! The worst part of this is, I've always been taught to NEVER run the wipers on a dry windshield, or it can cause scratches on the glass. It even specifies this in the Elantra manual, yet in the 'changing wiper blades' section, this is their design to change wiper blades. ???? So in order to change the wiper blades, you first have to make sure the windshield is sprayed down with water to avoid scratches as the blades move into position and then back. Very odd. Before getting my car, I watched a LOT of in-depth reviews and not one mentioned this.

Extremely thorough, you really do a great job of highlighting all that Hyundai offers. What they jam pack into their vehicles in tech, safety and warranty is really incomparable, but especially at this price point! Unbeatable!! They really did soup up the Elantra for 2021, some don’t love the new exterior design, but I think all the angles are what make it just so much more sleek, sexy and very noticeable! They bring your eye from one angle to the next, which gives it a nice sharp visual flow. And the completely redesigned interior is just so futuristic! I LOVE that they made the driver seat feel like a space of its own, completely. It’s definitely very driver focused, which can only help the driver focus on the road. Being that my daughter is driving it, I especially appreciate that aspect. It’s intuitive, not at all confusing, again another positive for a parent whose new driving child is driving this car. I swear, this 2021 model with its few extra inches is almost as big as many smaller midsized vehicles, I don’t feel like I’m in a compact car sitting in this thing. And having it a few inches lower to the ground really makes it feel a bit more sporty, perfect way to appeal to younger drivers. Honestly, can’t complain about anything so far, but she’s only had it less than a week now. But I also might be a little bit biased because we’re loyal Hyundai customers for almost 20 yrs now, this Elantra was our 5th Hyundai purchase 😂

The Elantra has came a long way. I had a 2014 Elantra and it was a base model. But the 2021 Elantra is definitely a head turn. If I was in the market for another car this 2021 Elantra would definitely be on my list.

I love my new 2021 Elantra! it was either this or a 2017 Lincoln but the warranty and features of the Elantra was just so much better for me! The Feel was also better!

Great review! Just subbed. My biggest dilemma is deciding between the 2021 Elantra SEL + Convenience Package and the 2020 Sonata SEL + Convenience Package. Price difference is a massive $5k, and while the Sonata is clearly more luxurious, I can't see a $5k difference. What are your thoughts?

Also, what's the major differences in the convenience package and the premium package of the SEL? Because I see that some of the Elantras do not have that digital dashboard with the speedometer but a regular one instead. Please help me out!

Is the cvt reliable? I keep hearing horror stories about the transmissions going out after 3000 miles. I know there’s warranty but damn, doesn’t seem worth it :/
Thats a good question. Its because early CVTs with other manufacturers had BIG issues. Kind of why everyone knows the Hindenburg exploded. Bad times with Hydrogen. But with interior components of Hyundai's IVT being made with chains and not rubber belts it solved so many issues that other cars had.
If you want the digital cluster and the su roof you need the SEL with the premium package. If you get the SEL with the convenience package there is no roof but you keep the digital cluster. If you just get the normal SEL with no packages you don't get either sunroof or digital cluster.

I believe somewhere Hyundai has an online list of phones that are compatible. Also if you buy one from a Hyundai dealer, they should help you set up your phone anyway.
The Galaxy J3 is not wireless charging capable .. you need a newer galaxy such as the s20 or newer for wireless charging .. if you want something a little more cost friendly try the a51 5G or a71

Does it have a beeping noise when parking close to an object in both the front and the back? Like if you’re reversing and about to hit something or driving forward and about to hit something, will it beep?
The SEL Premium and Limited has BOSE. SE through SEL Convenience has the factory set. Go to your local dealer and listen to the regular ones if you want.
