My first overstable 9-speed was a Factory Second Flare and I was so confused how people used discs like Firebirds or Raptors because I assumed all over those molds were similar. Flare has so much beef. Now I throw Felons and I realized they aren't the same. Loved seeing what you're throwing down here in the Midwest.

I've not tried multiple flares so I have no idea if they are all this beefy but this thing is crazy overstable for sure

I loved the Vodoos when I used them, especially the SSS ones you have. I actually had a yellow one with that skull stamp. They really are great putters.

If you haven't tried rolling an Essence, I think you will love it coming from rolling the FD at elevation.

I have a few Essence in my stack to try for rollers. Have not got to it yet, but I am looking forward to giving them a try

@@DothSavek I was not someone who threw rollers until I tried it with the Essence and now it seems like I'm always trying to lay one down. Whether it be Essence or not, I hope you find a suitable replacement!

The price on FDs went crazy so I sold almost all that I had. Also when James signed to MVP and won worlds it was a great reason for me to try out some more over mold stuff. Craves are a great replacement for FDs, also I like Leopard3s and have some Halo ones that would also fit the bill.

nice setup - some beautiful looking discs in there ! - love a modified fan grip ! use it 90% for all midrange - fairway - & even some distance throws.

Sick setup! Are there any discs that had specific flight patterns at elevation that you haven't been able to find a replacement or analog for at your current elevation? I'm also curious if anything ever came of your Engima data collection / testing... Love the videos!

Going down to lower elevation was pretty easy. It seemed like for the most part I could just throw the same discs a bit slower and get the flight I was used to at 4500 ft. Things just glide and turn so much more smoothly/easily that it opens up many more disc options. I set the Enigmas aside and have not really dug into them. I did pull a few out to throw the other day but then didn't end up bringing them out. I've not done a field work day here yet as I've been playing leagues and new courses every chance I get. Once I get to do some more field work then I may try the Enigmas again. I have a really good destroyer line up and plenty of back ups, its hard to want to move away from them.

I love Voodoos so much. I actually came to them from Warlocks because I really don't like the bead on the wizard and I still like the Warlocks for a beefier putter. I commented before that I use the same run of purples, I've also got an ancient solid purple and a solid black with a pretty cool local (Montana) pro's stamp.

The profile of the Voodoo just seems to fit my hand really well, I'm not too picky anymore about putters and seem to think most feel good enough, but the Voodoo really does feel great to me.

Out of curiosity, do you have any sort of order to the discs in your bag? I noticed your glow envy was closer to your drivers than your comet so it can’t be in order of speed but you are such a methodical guy I have to imagine you have some sort of ingenious reasoning being the disc placement in your bag

I have drivers on the left with most fastest(left) to slowest(right) as the primary factor and then 2nd factor is overstable(left) to understable(right). Once I get to mids I generally keep the same trend except that means that my throwing putters would get pushed to the far right side of the bag where its a little harder to pull them out, and I do throw putters a lot, so I make an exception here and will break the order and put a throwing putter/approach disc(s) right in the middle where they are the most accessible.

I used to putt with pure white wizards, which I have to say sounds like a high ranking clan member. yikes. Super chalky and grippy, but still decent firmness. Best feeling putter plastic of any manufacture straight out of the box (imo). The only problem is the grippy texture tends to break down over about a month or 2 of play, but I play quite a bit. 3-4 times a week. Now I have a rack of about 25-30. I actually did the opposite of you and switched to Lunas about a year ago by happenstance. Went to practice for a tournament at a course an hour away and realized I'd left my bag at home when I arrived... I'd just cleaned out my car, naturally, and the only putting putter I had in my trunk was a Luna. Haven't turned back since.

Yea Gateway could use a rebranding of some of their plastic names imo. I have some PW here too and think they may get rotated in for the summer when the 2s or 3s might get too soft. The Lunas fly and putt great imo. The downsides for me was price and grip when wet.

@@DothSavek yeah, finding a pair of lunas to cycle into the bag is pretty absurd. completely agree about them getting wet. I actually keep a separate towel just for the lunas for that reason. If you are looking for a straight reliable buzzz, the 4x swirly esp are the best i've ever thrown. I've thrown countless plastics and runs of the buzzz, and there is no comparison. Board flat. I've bought a matching pair when they first dropped a couple of years ago, and when disc golf was still affordable. Their flights haven't changed a bit. Too bad they run you between $100-$150 now.. makes me sad.

it's funny cause I love ITB videos. I don't want to sound like an ass - "you're not a pro so I'm not watching yours", but I think I gravitate towards someone who throws a single brand. I will have this thought "hey I've been liking MVP mids and I want one that does XYZ a little differenetly" - let me lookup some MVP ITB videos.That being said - I LOVE WATCHING YOUR ITBs! I would honestly watch if you did more frequent disc conversations. And I would say that's not usually the case with someone that has such a wide disc pallet :)
