I know its only under 30hp and some would call it slow, but I freaking love my 300sm and got it for the fact that I can truly experience the bike to its full potential, with no rider aides, and I'm able to wring the 300cc engine out and use all the power it has to offer. If I were to get a 450cc-700cc(or 690), I personally wouldn't use 1/4 of its power capabilities, especially riding mostly in a big city. The cost of higher displacement supermotos start at 10k$ so 300sm is a win in my book.
I thought the area looked familiar as soon as you came up to juravinski i knew where you were. nice to see a fellow rider in the hammer. I have the same bike but just in blue, havent put too many km's on it yet. things im not a fan of with the bike is no gear gauge, the passenger pegs are so off it bugs my ocd and the gigantic rear fender mount lol. stay safe and enjoy the rides!
The mountain brow area is one of my favourite spots to ride, lots of winding roads up and down with a view 👌 Those passenger pegs got into my OCD mind as well lol Enjoy the rides and have fun out there
Make the rims accommodate tubeless tires and install ADV adventure tires and then you have a setup where u can plug a tire puncture fast and also handle dirt and gravel roads with ease.
Good one, ScottyRFD. Was that the Red Hill Valley Parkway you were climbing at 120 km/h? That's a measure of significance. I'm torn between the KLX 300sm and the Yamaha XT250. Both have great capabilities, flick-ability, greater gas capacity in the XT250, although the Kawasaki would clearly have more power. Also bike availability is almost impossible to surmount these days. Try to find either of these bikes. Way more demand than stock available.
Thanks Chris 👍 lol I cannot confirm or deny that was the Redhill but I was overall surprised the KLX could get to such speeds. Between the Xt250 and KLX I definitely prefer the styling of the KLX plus you get the option of the model for a street tire or off road tho it would be easy to buy a second set. Availability is getting better as the months go on so I would say get out and ride both if you have the chance, you'll have a great ride either way Cheers
"Not going to win any races.." Bro, that bike would smoke any sports bike on a go cart/sm track. "Supermoto" was literally a race that these bikes where built for. "This thing can't wheelie" Don't you mean you can't wheelie? Please stop reviewing bikes you don't know how to ride.
lol I will have to be more specific next time, your right tho this thing would do great things on a small track. Wheelies are definitely not for me 😋 Cheers
