Did you ever have any issues with throwing belts? I've read where some have misalignment issues and they regularly throw belts. I have no experience with them, but a used one came up for sale locally, and I was interested in looking at it.

I was going to buy the new T 5000 I really spread granular and use the liquid for weed killer and I’m trying to incorporate liquid fungicide for a round in July would this be a good machine for me ?I have two Perma Green‘s and it’s a rough ride what should I be looking at the new Toro\ zspray or Turfgo t5000 I have a lot of hills in crazy areas ?last question should I be going all liquid ? You guys seem to have it down pat and I love the rack for your machine Well thought out

@@richscott2952 After having looked at the T5000 at GIE, I personally wouldn't go with it simply because of the complications we've had with the T3100 and the similarities between the two. We have a great machine now, but notice we've had to do a lot of custom modifications to the machine to get it where we want it. Overall, the biggest benefits to the T5000 over the T3100 right now are the wider stance for better stability, larger tank capacity, a wider spray pattern, better pump and pump control. If you are open to suggestions, my next choice for machine would be a Zspray or a SteelGreen. Every machine has it's pros and cons, but I think you are getting a lot more value for your money in either of those options personally. Better quality parts; and I know that SteelGreen will work to customize your machine to suit a full liquid program.

In the beginning with your T 3100 what was your top three problems I’m’ guessing it was the pump ,the granular spread pattern ,and the tip on hills ? I want to thank you for your reply’s, there’s just so many decisions to be made ! After 25 years and I’m still trying to figure it out

@@richscott2952 The biggest three problems we had starts with the spray tip. The original tip sprayed a 9' spray pattern and was burning lawns on the overlap even when our rates were spot on; so we created our own sprayer boom and that solved the problem. The other problem was the short hose on the hand wand; so we put our own 100' hose reel on it. The third problem was the top-heaviness and traction; we fixed that by removing the hopper assembly, spreading the frame, and dropping a 16 gal rectangular tank down between the arms. Now the tank sits lower and right above the front wheels to give the machine a lower center of gravity and better grip on the front tires. Next we will be purchasing better rear tires to improve traction. The machine is basically not a Turfco anymore haha. Hope this helps! -William
