@@Thee_Lijah sure but this is Lexus which is pretty much a Toyota and has one of the best reliability for each of their cars out of all the major luxury car makes. Just a Lexus is350 from 2014 for example still costs in the mid 20s & a Lexus IS f with the v8 still costs a lot even with high mileage
One of the best exterior and interior in the class I like this sporty kind of look You guys make this car so special by this review....🤩🤩🤗🤗 Our thanks😃
Change of plans for today's upload schedule but don't worry the Acura TLX A-Spec will be coming soon! But ENJOY this new Lexus IS 350 F-Sport! How do we like it?
Great review! I tested the 350, and the torque is not what I was expecting... It is supposed to produce 280 lb-ft, but it feels like half of that... Did you feel the same? I love the design though
Thanks! I think because of the transmission and the fact that the engine makes it torque at higher RPMs, it does feel less torque-y than one would expect
Reliability is super important, but the IS is just so behind practically everyone. The bigger screen should be standard, it’s missing memory seats, power folding mirrors, LED turn signals, and there’s hardly any storage space in the center console. The infotainment is dated. Luxury buyers expect more than the bare minimum.
Yeah and that reliability is no longer enough. It has the same V6 from 2006, no pano roof, no wireless charging and on and on. Things a Camry has now. It's a beautifully outdated, outclassed car. Still though it's gorgeous now.
I really like the looks of the refreshed exterior on the 2021 IS, but I’m disappointed that Lexus decontented it on the inside by taking away the power tilt steering wheel and the memory seats. At this price point it should still have those options🤷♀️
Thank you I haven’t see anyone else say anything about it like you could get a power tilt and telescopic steering wheel and memory seats as an option but I couldn’t find it no where as an option on LEXUS website plus they took out the option of a power rear sunshade as well, plus I think Lexus should’ve had full led head and tail lights like it bothers me how they made the headlight full led but not the turn signals and same with the rear like they could’ve done incandescent reverse lights but made the turn signals led like it makes no sense how a Camry can have full led but not a Lexus like it baffles me
You have to option up for the triple beam headlights that have led turn signals. Plus toyota has put a patent on the name IS 500, so hopefully by the fall it looks like 5.0 v8 is returning to the IS.
@@ggthx yeah but that doesn’t upgrade the rear turn signals plus even on the Lexus ES even if you don’t get the triple beam LED headlights and you just have the standard set up the rear still has full LED turn signals. Plus let’s be honest Lexus should’ve fully re-designed this car but instead gave it a second refresh they should’ve fully redesigned it and took in the 3.5 L TwinTurbo V6 on the LS 500 and put it in the new IS then Lexus should’ve developed on from there having a more potent twin turbo engine because let’s be honest the V-8’s won’t be alone for much longer so Lexus should’ve just done with the competition is doing now
Love the exterior minus the incandescent turn lights and interior! For the price the interior needs a major rework, but that's coming with the redesign hopefully soon... Will just have to wait and see
I really want one so badly. I’m struggling to find an IS F sport in Ionic Silver with a red interior. I wish Lexus offered it with the 8 or 10 speed transmission over the 6 speed.
Nice car but I don’t think it’s worth 50k. No sunroof, still uses incandescent turn signals(at 50k) map lights are halogen... v6 looks like a slight tune up Camry v6 engine that takes premium. 10inch screen should be standard at this price point.
@@jujharsingh4458 not even 42k. Maybe 38k or something. I’m pretty sure you can get this car out the door for pretty good deal consider they don’t sell a whole a lot.
I’m not surprised given Toyotas have been increasing in price and surprised Lexus doesn’t differentiate more. Yeah Genesis or even German competitors give you more bang for buck tech-wise.
Will you do a comparison video on the Genesis GV80 vs the BMW X5? I really want to know how this new Luxury SUV stacks up against a very well established player
Since the GS level is obsolete, Lexus scored a touchdown with this new redesign for 2021 and you can't go wrong with the top dog F sport! Drew, when that camera fell it made me and Mason jump at the same time! 😄😄
I really want an IS in AWD, but the hump in the driver's footwell... I have to keep my foot turned almost sideways or else my shoe gets stuck. The RWD option looks amazing, though!
Besides reliability (which is probably in question now), there is no reason to pick this over something like the Genesis G70 or Audi A4. It's far too old.
Wow they didn’t get even try to differentiate some parts from corolla like the door switches and panel, outside grill looks similar to xse , even those circular vents are in my 19 corolla. Come on toyota!
Did you notice the intrusion of the AWD transmission tunnel into the driver leg space? A lot of other reviewers called it out and makes we question getting the AWD versus RWD for comfort of cruising
I think they reviewed the TLX the same day or the day before and compared it to the ELS studio 3D and it’s not as good as that. So even though it sounds good I don’t think it blew them away so they didn’t say much.
Hmm....so.... you can pay $55k for a 310hp v6 NA IS350..or.. $55k for an Audi RS3 400hp Turbo..or $55k for a BMW M2 444hp I6 Turbo..or.. $55k for a Mercedes CLA 45 AMG 382hp Turbo Idk.... Lexus should have made the 2020 IS350 F-Sport with a Twin Turbo V6 400hp 🤷♂️ I have a 2016 IS350 that I twin turbo'd myself and it was a PITA and $$, would never do it again. I would rather take one of the other options I listed above over the new IS with its 10 year old slow NA V6 engine. We begged and begged lexus to give us a TT V6 in the new IS and they didn't listen.
I feel like the only reason they should update the interior is because we’ve seen it for a while. HOWEVER, I still find it competitive with what’s out right now
This car's hallmarks are quality and reliability...and that's about it. This class of buyer thinks about attributes of cars differently. It simply does not have enough to overcome the benchmark 3/C-Class/A4, not even the budget-friendly offset now that the G70 and Kia Stinger are available, with better performance and features, and the performance of something like a Guilia or Tesla Model 3. Toyota/Lexus is too large of company to keep being this lazy. The allowed the GS to die instead of upping its competitiveness, and now selling this vehicle in a hyper competitive class, which is now 8 years old.
First of all I'm fan of lexus more than german, but interior is very old , some plastic is Toyota Corola quality, 360 camera quality is totaly crap, MMI is useless ....N/A Engine is amazing , Exterior is very different prior Germans , ride quality is very very impressive , gearbox is number 1 in class ! when u drive C klass BMW 3 Audi a4 and IS - , C klass is so boring , bmw 3 is under pressure always audi is relaxed but somehow gearbox has problems but Lex is the one u don't want to stop !!
Lexus... 🤦🏾♂️ No fog lights. No sunroof. Incandescent signals 😳. No remote start. I'm so disappointed... Where is your attention these days?! Every single vehicle in the lineup is behind!
Don't even know why this kinda old ass steering wheel and interior appear in this 2021 re-freshed model.. plus, what kind of small screen is that? does it belong to a luxury sport sedan??
Its so disappointing That outdated interior, that outdated weak engine The lack of actual luxury in a "luxury" car since it doesnt even offer leather not even in the highest trim...or full LED lighting The Audi A4, Mercedes CLA + C Class and BMW 3 series are all laughing at this thing
WOW Incandescent turn signals still in a 2021 Lexus? a 2016 Honda Civic Touring has LED ones! and that same old steering wheel and old key fob dated back to a decade ago..Toyota sure is cheap being the number one automaker
