Me too. If DMax manage to tackle some of the challenges from the last model (missing in this segment), keep pricing constant and long warranty, could be a winner. I’ve held off buying anything new until its released next week.
You mentioned Android Auto is wireless but all the official marketing only notes Carplay as wireless and Android Auto is still only via USB. Is this something that is being added via a firmware update?
I have isuzu mux 2021 and it comes with exactly same hadunit. I can confirm that android auto only works whilst on the wire... Looking online in more detail it appears that android auto wireless requires headunit to have 5ghz WiFi to be able to work. Unfortunately I don't think that is a requirement for wireless apple carplay. If that is a case and headunit only got 2.4ghz WiFi then I doubt wireless android auto will become a thing with firmware update.
i've just received my brand D-max android auto was promised but it won't work! not on a cable either and not on a official samsung cable either. ( Samsung S7 edge to old??) android auto installed on my phone worked before in other cars but my new isuzu don't wanna do it ( apple carplay works fine.. and no i'm not going to buy an iphone now..) any suggestions?
I wish I'd spent more time looking into this, the rest of the vehicle is reasonable, but that audio unit is the biggest piece of shit that ever was. so dissapointing. My 15 year old VW head unit is smarter.
