Rohit Paradkar definitely has got the skills to keep his viewers glued to their screens no matter what car he reviews. The A class isn't a bad car but CLA had its own sporty aura that attracted a lot of customers.
Well built, plush and feature rich definitely, but is it 40 lakhs good; definitely not. One is just paying for the badge, and buying new Octavia or even Superb makes way more sense and still leaves huge chunk of change in your pocket.
Definitely, this is the main funda. Many people want premium brand but with less money. If you really want something bigger and ultra premium then Merc also have options of E, CLS, S, GT4 Door coupe. But if you do not want to spend high amount then A Class, CLA are there. Off course, premium brand will charge you for branding as well and branding always give impact on your personality as well.
@K J M Skoda is a VW under the skin. This A class is built on a platform made for a hatch, so would be rubbish. It's got fake exhaust tips (even the S Class has them), it's got fake grills. So what you paying so much money for? Skoda atleast is honest, and will hold it's value far better than this Merc. Only reason you will buy this A Class is to compensate for something physically.

You actually don't. The way the turbo and the gearbox are tuned, power is instantaneous and the performance figures are in the same zone as the 2l in the outgoing CLA
It's not a limo. It will be rubbish as the platform is meant to be a hatch. It's got fake exhaust tips and fake grills. But Mercedes will be laughing all the way to the bank because they know, there are too many people in India who have too much money but no taste.
