These races are cool but there's really nothing like the 1990's Penda point series and the Monster Truck drag races, those were some of the best races ever in motorsports.
Absolutely! It's sad to see monster trucks essentially devolve from a legit motorsport to a spectative event. Monster Jam is nothing but going out and drive around crazy doing some tricks and stunts which in their own right are impressive but not in the slightest any form of racing.
Ive been watching the Penda series quite often, sure miss those days. Im amazed that nobody has tried to duplicate that type of racing. This straight line racing seemed brutal on the trucks with the tall jumps and concrete landings.
@@thenickhelms84 yeah, because the kid fans out number the adults and kids get bored if the Monster Jam trucks don't go and do that high flying trick stuff, but who knows, maybe MJ will see your comment and say "hey, they're right. Instead of making millions of dollars at the current presentation, let's go back to the 90s style and make much much less money!"

There were a couple of factors if I remember correctly, but Darren’s trailer sits higher than the others so coming in off the ramp in turn four was much less an issue.
For the last few years the ramps in the racing lanes have been way too small and flat. They finally use bigger ramps but now they are too steep lol. The trucks can't get any speed going straight up in the air 🙄
